Re: 2016 MLB Thread

Also, congrats Myjah, SB Nation is a great platform with some fantastic writers, good place to get some real exposure if you do it right. That's a pretty big deal. The downside is you have to watch all the Twins games, which has been quite painful. I have no clue why I keep getting my hopes up with...

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread

Injuries ruined last year's finals, looking like they'll ruin this year's playoffs too.

GS might be able to get past Portland without Curry but they'll lose in 4 vs SaS.

Not a Kobe fan, but that was a legendary final game.

Curry with an absolute monster game to lock the 73-9 up, now the boring 3 weeks where GSW and SaS don't play each other and the rest of the teams pretend they have a chance

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread

Best offensive player of all time. Likely best single season of all time. He's turning 28 so who knows how long he can keep this up, and really bizzare career with only 2 seasons well above generic allstar level. His season last year would rank in the 8-11 range for either Jordan or Lebron's career ...

Re: The 2015 NFL Thread

Shipped Denver 6, Carolina 7 in a squares pool which was cool, 17-16 for final was live for a bit Manning gets a 2nd ring, he really had next to nothing to do with them winning a title this year but he was pretty damn unlucky to only have 1 before this. Denver where HoF QBs get to retire as Super Bo...

Not that I watch the NFL anymore or anything, so I might be talking outta my ass, but since when is a 1,200 yard/9 TD season considered a considerable dropoff? Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread

In MN news a year that should have been the start of something good is back to the usual failure, it's been over a decade since they were relevant and even with KaT 100% living up to a #1 pick are 14-34. Figured it was another year away but they'd push towards the 8 seed especially since the West is...

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread

He's not gonna be all defense any time, but the days of having to hide him have been gone since last year. yeah he's decent now, in the NBA size is king. so even if he was the best defensive pg that value is way below Kawhi's defensive value. There's a reason the top15 alltime is Jordan, Lebron, Ma...

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread

Is Curry the GOAT in a vacuum? He is in my vacuum. eh it's 1/2 season, McGrady had a random 30PER year but doesn't crack top 50 lists. right now his season might be #1, but it's close given that Jordan, Lebron, Shaq were massively better defenders than Curry and have 3-4 years this good as well. Al...

Agreed. But like benji said on the last page there's no one close to the Spurs and dubs. I'd add the thunder too. Not like any team is gonna make the jump this year or next. NBA kinda needs the cavs to figure it out. meh the GSW vs SaS series is shaping up to be the best matchup in the last 25 year...

Re: The 2015 NFL Thread

Dungy
Caldwell
Fox
Kubiak

3 god-awful coaches and 1 mediocre to bad one in Dungy. I suppose you need to * this year since he did more to hurt then help but he has had a career filled with trash coaches.

Re: MLB Offseason Thread

You're being overly hard on Griffey, dude was basically Trout 1.0 before he got hurt. #38th of all time seems low. Where'd you come up with that number? Besides, Pujols should be unanimous long before Trout sniffs the ballot. It was just a random number I threw out, though he is only #40 in career ...

Kawhi is a top 5 player in the league right now

Curry
Lebron
Durant
Davis

He's better than Westbrook/Harden, Davis and Lebron are having so/so years but I wouldn't put him above either

Re: The 2015 NFL Thread

MN wins they are 3 seed, home vs Seattle.
MN loses, Seattle wins, MN@GB
MN loses, Seattle loses, MN@Wash

I think @Wash is the easiest of the 3

MN defense is healthy and they can win any of the matchups especially if the GB and Seattle teams that played yesterday show up again.

Probably the end of the 1998 draft class this year, one of the best ever

Manning
Woodson
Moss

Woodson had pretty equal careers in Oakland and GB and well you can't win shit in Oakland so it's hard to hold that against him, I think of him as a Raider.

1 game is so weak, should have been rest of season plus any potential playoffs. That type of play is pushing Pacman penalty where he's just banned all of 2016 though you'd have to go back and lifetime ban Suh before that.

Re: The 2015-16 NBA Thread

Not much talk about them but San Antonio might be the best team in the league, and should match up pretty well with GS

Also the West is far more top heavy this year than the previous couple, the quality drops off a cliff after OKC, LaC and Dallas are mediocre teams and then its almost all trash.
