This is infinitely better than Goblin. Goblin was awful, though.

Bazooka Tooth is Aesop's best record and the one where he made it clear he was on his own path. Finally listened to the Mike G ep. Pretty disappointing. Vince Staples sucks.

The beats on this album are crazy.

I actually liked Sims' last album, Bad Time Zoo a lot, but thrown in with everyone else (and even on track with POS on his album) he sounds like the weak link.

Still love the album, though.

both are very good but flawed records, but their flaws are completely different. What are the flaws of each? Not disagreeing, just asking. Both are really good albums IMO but FD has a few songs that just seem out of place, which is questionable in an album so long (Dr. Hellno is a perfect example)....

The new Domo tape is dope. I wasn't too big on him at first but he and Hodgy have both made pretty huge improvements over the last year. OF is still exciting.

His production on the Perceptionists album and the few songs he's done with Lif have been great. I need to get this.

Horrorcore is awesome when it's done well. There have only been like five people to do it well, though. OF is definitely on that list. I love this. Blackendwhite is the best OF release, I look forward to the updated version and even more to the next Mellowhype release.

The overly long songs are my biggest problem. At 2-3:00, some of these songs would be cool, but instead they're 5:00+ and almost unbearable.

I like to think of OF like the Beastie Boys in the License to Ill (AKA Don't Be A Faggot) era. Whether they'll actually evolve past it, I don't know.

I called stuff gay and faggot until I was right around Tyler's age, at which point I turned into the stereotypical up tight white college kid.

It's a good article but all the Earl quotes are in the preview, which was disappointing.
