Re: Game Of Thrones S5

I expected more of the iron bank/free cities stuff this season, but unfortunatly it's been zero so far. That Dorne shit is the worst and has taken up lots of time. Good ass point. That looked like it would be hella interesting. Didn't Cersei just send Old Man Tyrell there? Hopefully something is co...

Re: Game Of Thrones S5

I actually thought with the death of the Grand Maester Sam storyline was about to get a boost. Why do yall hate him/his storyline so much? Definitely not saying it's been the most interesting plot line but I definitely feel like there has been more time given to less interesting characters/subplots....

Re: Game Of Thrones S5

Ugh, the sex scene between fat Sam and Gillie the pig made me want to blow my brains out. Would rather watch Sansa get raped and Renley get slurpy bj's on loop for an hour than ever see that shit again. Crazy talk. I'd take an "earned" 30 sec scene like that over a forced unnecessary Sansa rape sce...

Re: Game Of Thrones S5

I thought last night's ep was pretty damn good. Gotta say I've loved Cersei's arc this season. The actress has been doing some good ass work. The character seems to warrant some sympathy (even though she's obviously evil as fuck) which is quite impressive. My girl Grandma Tyrell has been gettin ho'd...

Re: Game Of Thrones S5

What do yall think is going to happen with Margerie back at KL? That moment obviously got overshadowed by Ramsay's crazy ass, but it still was major.

Tomin was looking lost as hell as his wifey was dragged away.

Re: Game Of Thrones S5

Great ep. Vast step up from last week. Shit is gettin real in Kings Landing & Winterfell. Wonder how Little Finger is going to play things out.

Ayra -- hells yeah
Tyrion -- one of the best quotes of the whole series "GUESS, AGAIN"
Cersei -- her vs. Grandma Tyrell was great
Ramsey -- fuck.

Re: The Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015)

Whedon wanted to cut the Thor bath scene, some suit made him keep it in or else he had to lose part of the farm sequence too. I think thats backward. Apparently Whedon had more explanation surrounding the Thor bath that would have made it seem less out of place. But the suits said that if he spent ...

Re: Game Of Thrones S5

I got no issue with them moving the story around to different plot threads. I completely support that of course. I was just saying that on average Dany's arc has provided the weakest screen time to compelling story ratio. The nights watch stuff was pretty boring during S1 but it has improved signifi...

Interesting take Reg. I doubt that GJ is the only one who is all about Hal Jordan though. But a I agree that John Stewart is the way to go.

Rumors are still circulating that Common might appear as him in the Suicide Squad movie.

Re: Game Of Thrones S5

Judging by the lack of action this thread is seeing today, I'm guessing we all are in agreement that ep5 was meh overall? I swear the Khaleesi arc has been the most overrated thing about this whole damn show since s1. And YES I know the pay off is going to be fantastic whenever we get there, but dam...

Re: The Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015)

I Hear you regarding the absence of the science bros. But they really barely capitalized on that dynamic in my opinion. Their interaction as scientists seemed especially trying this go round. (Also, Banner's a genius but can't pronounce Wakanda?) And yeah the big guns will definitely be back for Inf...

Re: The Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015)

Seems like a lot of people are saying similar things to Jamrage & Ric about the new team. Is it just that the knew team is less well known though? Cause power for power the new team is about as balanced as the old one. Plus of course you have a bunch of new additions on the horizon as well.

Re: Game Of Thrones S5

no fight scenes are great, when they're done well (like Oberyn Vs Mountain) Yeah, that shit was tight as hell and was a fantastic pay off, even though for me it was the hardest re-learning of the lesson "do not get attached to characters on GoT" that the show has offered since they killed Ned Stark...

Re: The Avengers: Age Of Ultron (2015)

I thought it was good, not great.

I hope going forward Marvel will continue to look for ways to make the shared universe work without sacrificing movies being good as standalone projects.

I'm still along and excited for the ride through phase 3 though.

So, yeah. Finished over the weekend. DD was definitely a great entry into the MCU.
