Does anybody have this King Sun joint I just need to street version for my new mixtape? I'd appreciate it, I tried to grab it from TROY blog but the link had gone.

I'll throw King Of Chill into the mix, always loved this guys beats from his First Priority/Aud2/Alliance/Lyte/Pos-K/Barsha days, but this guy is so underrated nobody talks about him.

I'll also champion any Ced Gee and 45 King cause, they made my favorite types of beats back when.

I was 14 in 1987. I grew up in England, the Beastie Boys were touring and the UK press hated them, being a teenager this sparked my interest and I bought Licensed to ill on tape while on holiday. I read an interview with Beasties in the Hip Hop Connection and they cited Schoolly D as their favorite ...

Jaz is right they are recording a new album, I heard a couple of tracks produced by Jesse West. Grapevine is an actor now he lives out here in LA, Nasty is still in NY. I see Grape all the time, he is working on a solo, its some different shit but tight he still got flows.

I stopped reading when it was suggested Straight Out Of Compton / Let The Rhythm Hit Em and Criminal Minded are considered only half good albums and Late Registration is worthy of submission. I'm happy I don't have homeboys ears.

Maybe im getting old but i thought the bay / sac scene died at the end of the 90's, I've heard nothing classic like when Lynch, C-Bo, RBL, IMP, Dre Dog, Get Low, 11/5, 3XKrazy was on top, nowadays nobody got nothing new to say.

Its a difficult choice as albums they are both patchy. Too many crap instrumentals and psuedo Eric B cuts, but the great tracks are some of the greatest songs in rap history.

let the rhythm hit em is their most consistent album IMO
