The Babadook

The Ozzy's seem to do horror a lot better than most. This has been getting a lot of attention, will definitely be checking for it. I know there are a few horror heads here, anyone seen this yet?

Re: Sherlock (Brit TV series)

Last ep of this season was entirely brilliant.

Some of the 'fluff' in ep 2 was kind of required for this finale.

Would be looking forward to the next season more if they had a different Moriarty. I really don't like the guy who plays him. Not at all creepy enough.

Re: Is purchasing a Chromecast worth it?

It seems like Google might be sucking up the big media companies (yet again) with this. They put out an API so devs could create apps, but each one has to be white-listed. They put out an update that broke Koushik Dutta's "AllCast" app. Companies like PlayOn and Bitcasa have submitted apps, but wee...

Any audio lag? I'll pick one up regardless because of the price. I've got bundles of blueray rips in mkv - i'm suspecting it could struggle with those?

I did search it but only found a few posts on the DVD release. Thought a remaster & a re-release was worthy of a new post, no?

Aguirre, the Wrath of God. Werner Herzog 1972

This has been remastered and got a re-release in the UK.

Anyone seen this before? The press is going bananas over it. Off to see it on Sunday.

Big fan of Klaus Kinski, such a freaky looking actor.

I'm looking forward to this. I went to see Franco present a screening of Hitchcock's Psycho last night, at the British Film Institute. He was with out a doubt the most awkward, uncomfortable dude I've ever seen talk in public. Definitely a strange one. Surprised his comic turns come across pretty na...

I'll probably watch this. Really enjoyed Pitch Black & Chronicles was a decent effort held back by some PONY casting.

In fact, the beasties in that trailer looked a little 'Pitch Black-ish', didn't they?

Don't like to form an opinion based on a trailer but that looks good! Might even see this at the cinema.

My 2 most intensely irritating actors (Crowe & Costner) actually look really well cast in this.

Like all those movies. '97 was a pretty good year! Grosse Point Blank wins hands down for me. Endless quotable's from that flick - the exchange between Grocer and Blank in the diner is gold. Thinking about it, even the supporting actors are pretty much faultless. Ackroyd, Joan Cusack, Arkin, Piven. ...

Hardy play's a really nasty piece of work in it. Good performances all round.

Wait, I thought Brad Pitt was the reporter/narrator in the book. If that's the case, why is Brad Pitt running away from zombies?!?! He was. They decided to film it as more of a Brad Pitt hero zombie killer. So.... not like the book at all. Also... anyone else concerned those zombies look like those...

Oh my fuck. This looks terrible. I fucking loved this book. Not the greatest writing by any stretch, but a really cool way of navigating around the plot. I bet there's a dozen writer/producer/director teams could have done this for a fraction of the cost, staying closer to the source material. I'm l...

I watched this last week. Some really interesting stuff about how Kubrick shoots his flicks and a bit of meaning behind some of those creepy, long shots. Sadly, most of this film was narrated by some cackling moron spotting evidence that Kubrick helped film the 'faked' moon landing. Essentially this...
