I'd avoid Heavy Rain. Shitty controls and a very slow start ruined it for me.

Re: Game Console Afterthoughts

Now that we're a few years into this gen what are your thoughts on the consoles you own? ... I would agree with pretty much everything you've said. Wii: Recently started playing this again as there's a lull in other formats and I missed a few good games. Currently playing Sin & Punishment 2. PS3: I...

FYI for those of you that haven't heard yet, these two games are widely rumored to be getting the God of War 1 & 2/PS3 treatment, with a new HD release as a bundle sometime in 2011. Hoping that they announce this and show more of The Last Guardian at TGS. I've been holding off replaying these until...

Anyone still playing this? Onslaught's not great, but it's not terrible for the price.

Looking forward to the Vietnam add on.

Used to play Championship Manager on the Amiga. I'd play through the night, get a shower and pretend I was just up early. I beat that addiction and I've never looked back.

Thought the game was excellent overall. Was hoping for a bit more spaghetti western styling, more Italian library music like Red Dead Revolver, but overall I liked it.

Saw Book of Eli on a flight recently. Thought it was OK, but never want to see it again, despite Tom Waits.

Same flight game me the opportunity to see When in Rome. I declined.

One game is a fun game but has already topped by a far-superious sequel (GTA4). The other game is the absolute pinnacle of its genre, the best survival-horror game ever, and it may never be topped. This shouldn't be close. So, because RE5 is shitty RE4 is better than SA? Haha. I love RE4, but Capco...

Re: Tobal 2 (PS1)

I remember loving this game even though it wasn't technically available in the states. I never played the RPG mode but the fighting mode was loads of fun, and even more so when you unlocked all the characters from the RPG mode...amounting to a total of 200 characters to choose from, including float...

No, I didn't, I think the Rockstar Leeds guys ported it themselves. Great game, hopefully the iPhone port will give it the recognition it deserves.

I wouldn't hold your breath for this, Michael Ancel is notoriously flakey, and Ubisoft put this on hold in August. http://www.gamezine.co.uk/news/formats/xbox360/beyond-good-and-evil-2-officially-on-hold-$1320917.htm I think Ubisoft Montpellier are currently doing some Raving Rabbids stuff and Ancel...

Grand Theft 'Allo 'Allo

Not a great game, but it has it's moments. AC2 was much much better, I'll finish it and move on.

As an aside, both of these games commit the cardinal sin of game storytelling (for me anyway) - un-skippable cutscenes.

Edit: Great news, I found the skip button in Saboteur.

I think this game stinks. The story is bland, the graphics are terrible, and the gameplay is repetitive and unexciting. Given the amount of chaos you can create, this should be a lot more exhilarating than it actually is. Absolutely. Rented it, played about 4 hours, sent it back. Pros: Frame rate i...
