^ Me too.
Very good album. Highly innovative. There are a lot of albums I prefer over this, but it has its place.
8 Steps To Perfection is the shit.

Re: Action Bronson FIRES SHOTS @ Ghostface Killah
Forgot that I own The Brown Tape, which is really dope (I'm admittedly a huge Apollo Brown fan). There was a cool storyline going on, seemed like the lyrics were there.
Ghost did indeed have some good verses on the Wu Massacre album.

Re: Action Bronson FIRES SHOTS @ Ghostface Killah
For people saying Action Bronson hasn't made any good songs, I encourage you to listen to Dr. Lecter or Well-Done. Both good albums, particularly Well-Done. Ghost is still miles ahead of him though. Haven't heard much of his new stuff to be honest. Last album I heard by him was Apollo Kids, and that...

Re: Action Bronson FIRES SHOTS @ Ghostface Killah
Stupid. No reason to take shots at Ghostface whatsoever.
Ghostface has one of the best discographies in hip hop. One of the most consistent rappers ever. Makes it even dumber of a statement. And I've never been one of the people who criticized Action for, "sounding like Ghostface."

Re: Royce 5'9 & DJ Premier album "PRhyme"
Copped this used at Amoeba over the weekend. It's good. Far from spectacular or even great, but it is worth some listens. Royce is tremendous rapper and he really did his thing on this album. Premier is not the Premier of days past, but he still knows how to make dope beats. There are a couple that ...

Re: Your Old Droog (Y.O.D.) - Nutty Bars
Just heard this guy for the first time, specifically his self-titled album from last year. I liked it a lot. Disregarding his vocal tone similarity to Nas, I think he has a dope flow and cadence, and his lyrics were clever. They varied from straight braggadocious content to stories about his daily l...

Re: Canibus & Bronze Nazareth - Psychographicmetalogicalimpl
Haha. I'm not really a big fan of Canibus' work to be honest. After listening to the album driving to work this morning, I'll upgrade it to a nice whole 8/10. There aren't really any tracks I completely dislike other than Mikey Destruction and This is Rome. I like Bronze's production style on this, ...

Re: Canibus & Bronze Nazareth - Psychographicmetalogicalimpl
Initial reaction is that this is okay, far from amazing though. Production is good, but a step down from what I would expect from Bronze. Lacks the definitive banger. May grow on me. Canibus still raps about shit that makes no sense, yet there is some tangible pronounced content in there as well. 7....

Re: Canibus & Bronze Nazareth - Psychographicmetalogicalimpl
Canibus' beat selection has always been poor. Matter of fact, I would argue that it is horrid. I agree what you all are saying about his lyrics, Darth specifically. For me, I just saw a gradual decline, that's all. I'm by no means a huge fan and analyze all his shit, I just hear what I hear. I own C...

Re: Canibus & Bronze Nazareth - Psychographicmetalogicalimpl
Bronze Nazareth is so fuckin dope. He's a top 5 favorite producer of all time for me. This is an auto cop, not even going to preview any songs. Canibus used to be raw as fuck in the late 90s early 2000s, then he just got weird. He should've stuck to vicious battle rap and dope punchlines like on all...

Glad people are liking it. If you like this, I would move on to their second album Evolution Fight. Not on the same level as Time Being, imo, but good and deserving of praise. honestly, that's an album that was on my radar of "check it out one day" and it slipped. I like what I've heard from this th...

Does anyone else love this album?
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/414V6GPWWFL.jpg It is the perfect combination of beats and rhymes. Amazing lyricism, emotional and social commentary with an uplifting quality. Heavy beats with an earthy feel to them; that's the word that comes to mind. Thick strings and heavy drums. Spectacul...

Kanye West is the most pretentious and pompus piece of shit on the face of this planet, no alliteration intended. I just watched his interview with Sway...holy shit. Re: Cannibal Ox reform for a show
It's ok. On first few listens it's like 6.5-7/10 Beats are kinda simplistic, going for that spacey sound like the first album, but nowhere close to the same execution. The samples are not as complex, simple layering of the beats as far as I can tell. Vast Aire's voice used to be tolerable, but now i...

Re: Smif N Wessun- Da Shinin 20 Years Later
Such a damn good album. Haven't listened in ages, not sure why. Some of those classic albums are like that, I don't listen that often because I know they are amazing (if that makes any sense). Like I want to preserve it.
