Re: Dr Dre "Compton" album? aug 7th
If you remember what happened when both of these records dropped, they weren't much celebrated or considered as instant classics. Dumbest post of the year? Yeah, that guy is all types of stupid. Impressively stupid. Were you around when "The chronic" dropped? Even The Source had to correct their re...

Can't pick up one specific song right now, album is banging from start to finish and you can't really find 2 tracks with similar moods on it.

Re: Dr Dre "Compton" album? aug 7th
chronic and 2001 have the definitive dr dre style, this does not I strongly disagree. Dre's the kind of guy to have recorded a trillion solo songs in his lifetime, how many of these did we get a chance to hear? Not even a hundred. "Compton" is just the latest phase on his musical path, and it's fuc...

Re: Ganjah K - Danksta Life (1992 Los Angeles,CA)
Thanks a lot Basta! Honestly, I really doubt it was recorded in 1992, most of these tracks definitely sound like something from the mid-90's. "Ya too strong", "Everybody wants to be a G" or "Ups and downs" (with a Snoop Dogg cameo and Soopafly's name being shouted) are perfect examples. Which makes ...

Re: Who wants to golf with Scarface?
They didn't even reached $50,000, I guess this final album is doomed for good. Unless 'Face changes his mind and decides to jump in just for the thrill of one last epic album, but I highly doubt it. That's fucked up.

Re: Fat Joe Had A Lil` Beef With Masta Ace???
lol, I really like that album. The crossover west-coast stuff was a total failure, but listen to "Ready Or Not", "No Pain" and "Neva Faded", even the last 2 tracks (which were clearly filler) Yes Ya'll and What U See. Might not have aged really well, but that's authentic east coast shit right there...

Re: Fat Joe Had A Lil` Beef With Masta Ace???
I understand the point Joe was trying to make, but if you listen to Master Ace's 2nd album, a lot of the tracks are east-coast rooted heavy bass joints, there were only a few tracks that had a west-coast tinge to them. The rest was unmistakably NY. Yup. And most of these tracks were less embarassin...

Just talked to him a few days ago, I was like "It's cool to be teasing us about the albums, but now we need release dates!", and he told me it would drop for sure. He doesn't know for sure if it will only be digital or if physical copies will be pressed up, wait & see.

Re: Notable Rap Albums Never Released Officially
She said in the interview w Werner motown let her keep the masters. From what she told me, every artist involved (producers, guests) have been paid in advance by the label, which is definitely a good point if she eventually decides to release it. As long as she makes sure the credits are right so p...

If Paula herself doesn't have this - how can she be able to release this "one day" ? Not owning a promo CD doesn't mean s...

Yeah, I've been in touch with Paula the last 2 years, I arranged her interview with Werner Von Wallenrod and gave her a helping hand with this shelved album.
