Re: The "this sounds like..." thread

Night Shade that Melancholy Radio V.1 was dope as hell, is there a V.2 in the works? You also had another thread called something along the lines of "tracks that don't sound like anything else". Any chance you'll be throwing together a comp of those? Always digging the cuts you throw up on here brot...

Re: Adagio! - The Obvious Archives Pt.1 [Heavy Jewelz Record

Verge back in 2008 Joc Max was talking about an unreleased Basement Khemists album (http://wilshiredistrict.blogspot.com/2008/04/district-feature-timeless-joc-max.html). Any chance you could get in his ear and bring that to fruition? I think many would agree that a full length from the Khemists woul...

In the words of Mr. Rob Odindo, Props! Great work Verge, the clips sound amazing. I'm really excited to see how this archive series unfolds.

Re: All New Limited/Re-Issued Releases (post them here)

That Adagio is huge. I always wondered/hoped they had more material recorded. But the big question i have is will we ever see the day when Erule's Synopsis LP gets released? On the strength of the title track alone and without hearing any snippets I would pay top dollar for that unheard masterpiece....

Re: Da Boogeyman Blends

Any chance you can re-up the solidfiles link. For whatever reason it stops downloading after a few seconds negating the majority of the file. Loving these beats. Much appreciated

Re: Questions for DJ Premier

Ask him about the "Time 2 Chill" instrumental project released on noo trybe records. What was his involvement, how did it come about, etc, etc. For those who are unfamiliar with this release it's an eclectic mix of downtempo tracks unlike anything he's ever put his hands on. Definitely worth a liste...

I'm surprised no one made mention of the 2 Brian Coleman contributions "rakim told me" & "check the technique". For the most part "check..." is an expanded version of the other however it doesn't include the chapter about ultramagnetic which is a reason for purchasing both. Essentially its liner not...

Aleph, thanks for the info and track, much appreciated. But check this from an interview I read a while back: " Planet: At one point you were signed to Elektra records right? Between what years? Max: Yes, between 95-98 Planet: Were there any recordings that were done for Elektra that have never surf...

Basement Khemists

I know this was asked a couple years ago on this forum, but have there been any new updates on Basement Khemists material? There's the 5 discussed & posted before: Everybody, Petrified, I'm Doin Ya, Vibrate, Correct Technique and 2 others listed on discogs (http://www.discogs.com/Basement-KhemistsIn...

Is there any news or info on Erule's most likely classic debut LP Synopsis ever being released? With a 12" like Synopsis/Listen Up one can only except greatness from the unheard/unreleased release. The diverse production, slick rhymes and flow on these two, and overall positive commentary from all o...

Good looks on the feedback, there is some similarity between the voices but he definitely comes off a lot smoother on the "For Real Demo" which keeps me wondering, then again years between compositions can result in change in voice and overall style so maybe.....Thanks
