KMD-Humrush Bert humming sample was that vinyl or VHS?
Somebody has to know the answer. I could of sworn they sampled that off one of the many Sesame Street kids records I had growing up, but now I'm thinking they may have just used samples from a taped episode of the tv show. I don't have access to my Sesame Street wax in storage, but Youtube has a lot...
Re: Track IDs
Heard a track at the gym the other day, sounded like one of the old UK Coldcut instrumental with samples type joints. A lot of classic hip hop was played on this station like EPMD-Crossover etc Started off with open drums then went right into sampled clips from the 1974 Uptown Saturday Night movie "...

DJ Shadow -Nobody Speak 2016 vinyl 12" rip
This 12" is selling for ridiculous loot now. I understand the whole 500 copies pressed etc, but I still think it's crazy for a 2016 release. I know someone on here bought it, just need the dang pella. I'll trade for it. pm me if you, or someone you know copped this joint or the acapella djtopcat@gma...

Coldcut style instr samples from Uptown Saturday Night movie
Starts off with an open drum break for a few bars then the beat kicks in and this vocal sample from 1974 Uptown Saturday Night movie "Say, man, let's go to Zenobia's tonight" then it says "Move it" in the chorus. This may be the name of the track. Later in the tune it samples this part of the movie ...

Re: Prodigy/Mobb Deep Cuts (RIP Prodigy)
Step, Preme does anyone have the Shook Ones part 1 promo 12" rips with the original acapella before it was changed up for pt 2?
This is crazy that it's just nowhere to be found.

Re: Requests
Anyone got the first and in my opinion greatest acapella version of Shook Ones off this promo? I don't think a lot of cats paid attention until Part 2 dropped. I prefer Prodigy's first verse here to the later part 2 version. https://www.discogs.com/Mobb-Deep-Shook-Ones/release/684068" onclick="windo...

When did RUN DMC do this multi version of Beats to Rhyme?
This has been a mystery for as long as I've had it. It definitely sounds pre-1988 the (album version with the Bob James sample) The beats are pretty primitive almost like Linn or maybe a DMX? Anyway some of you old schoolers might know, or can ask someone who does. Shame the album version multitrack...

Re: Track IDs
Okay this one has stumped all the sample gurus on Soulstrut/DWG it's crazy! I've heard it sampled on several tunes over the years. I know I first heard it on that Dirtstyle scratch record back in 98 "Turkey Kuts"? So maybe people sampled it off that, but who is the original MC??? Then UK breakbeat p...
