Re: Planet Asia & Architect- King Medallion vs. Arch Angel
Yeah, I like it too. It's mega rare... I think it was planned as a release for Rasco's label, but got shelved or the label folded or it became a CD-R Japan tour exclusive or some shit like that. cv1nsRBqULg Imo, it's Planet Asia's best album (not that it says much lol). It reminds me a bit of a Madl...

It's technically well made, tics the usual boxes (80s setting, mystery, ...) and draws you in with all the shit you just mentioned, but in the end has nothing to say, really. So while it let's its audience feel clever for "solving" all that ...

Re: Too Old To Die Young (Refn)
Watched the first episode and liking it thus far! I don't think any of them pushed the envelope or were as uncompromising in their vision as Lynch and Refn are. Soderbergh's The Knick comes to mind - I love it quite a bit. And didn't Michael Mann direct a series called Luck written by David Milch th...

obviously drew parallels to his previous creation, Taxi Driver Yeah, Schrader seems to have a thing for movies about men loosing their shit. Affliction is probably my favorite of his... the one with Nolte and Coburn acting their asses off. https://criticsroundup.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/affli...

Re: Ka - Cold Fact (video)
Got a nice review in The Quietus The problem with Ka is our problem, not his. By all rights, the Brownsville, Brooklyn-based emcee deserves to be spoken in the exultant hyperbolic tones currently reserved for the likes of Dilla and Doom. Yet time and time again his name remains absent from our frequ...
