Re: Sightseers (Dir Ben Wheatley)

This was excellent, highly entertaining. better than Kill List in my opinion, even though they are very different.

saw it in september. I was skeptical about the use of the 3D, but when you see it, it definitely makes a lot of sense. He really tries to bring these caves to life since practically no one is allowed inside, and if you are, you're limited to 1 hour, for the whole day. Not much by way of story as doc...

these are noise canceling right? thats why they have an external power source? if so, not really down with that, distorts the sound a little.

at that price i'd rather buy a pair of higher end grados, atleast they'll be more balanced

its pretty abstract film, that the jury is still out on for me. Visually stunning, and like the reviewer said, almost like Terrence Malick. Perhaps i was expecting something a little more action packed, and was taken off guard with what was presented. The Q&A after the screening would have probably ...

^^ There's a good quality review at bloody disgusting which co-signs everything you wrote. I just watched it at TIFF 2 days ago, definitely a great sequel that builds upon what was good in the first. It takes what was hinted at the end, and runs in that direction. Ends up being like the Exorcist x ...

this is like what Aliens was to Alien, the action is ramped up with all the tension intact. The film starts literally 15mins after the other ended. I like the direction they took with this, some very inventive things done with the cameras to tell the story.

saw the film at TIFF a few days ago. Its really unfair to compare it to "Bad Lieutenant", as its not even related to it at all other than in title. Herzog explained after the film that it was named as such because the producer owned the title, and wanted to tack in on there.

saw it at the Toronto Film Fest. A great rebound for Aranofsky since that lackluster The Fountain. Rourke is great too, probably the best performance out of the bunch i saw. And like the dude said above, straight film making, no bullshit.

you buy the internal drive and then get the housing for it with the IDE to usb converter[not quite sure if thats the correct term] and then BLAOW!!!
$90 120GB drive with $30 housing external hdd.
this is the best solution.
