Album is an embarrassment. She's been living off a few, admittedly, great tracks from her first album, but the shit is about to hit the fan.

Re: Game Of Thrones S5

The producers are saying he's dead, and Harrington is saying he's not coming back.

This might be the first time in history a show killed off a character so seemingly important to the story that no one believed it.

Well if there's one thing we've learned throughout history, insurgencies never beat superior fighting forces.

Apart from Oberyn's clan, it was a great episode. Sir Friendzone at his friendzoniest too. Welcome back.

Re: The Americans season 3

Great season. First two seasons ended kinda clumsily and dumb. This one went out just right.

There are so many great performances on this show, but Rhys is probably the stand out. He and Emmerich have the most to work with, though.

Re: Buildin the Criterion collection...

Hulu is worth it just for Criterion's shit. They've got over a hundred movies on there. A number of them were never released to Blu-Ray but stream in HD.

He doesn't get his law degree in the episode -- he passes the bar. Two separate things, but you typically need a law degree as part of the requirements. It means he can now legally practice law in the state of NM.

I meant walking free after the questioning with Avon Barksdale's sister. Considering how well executed the rest of the movie was, that scene was immersion breaking. There was enough evidence there to charge him; beyond a cop's instinct for seeing through Lou's bullshit. It's not a problem when less...

RATM spawned Neu Metal, so not a good look for them, but I confess to being a De la Rocha fan as an angsty teen.

RTJ verse was whatever, but I kinda dig this:

Yeah, maybe I am reading too much into that girls expectation of hae going on the bus that plans we're changed. I don't think it was specifically stated as such. Remembering that he told the cop he had asked Hae for a ride that day, it sounded like something came up, and that's why she'd be taking h...

Re: Okay, this is Serial Thread

I don't recall Jay ever saying Adnan called from the payphone outside Best Buy. He said Adnan called, and said "I'm at best buy, come get me." I thought the cops added the payphone bit. This episode had one interesting detail, and that was Hae changing plans at the last moment with regard to taking ...

I saw it. It's OK. A little bit hokey with some of the dramatic moments. Felt like there was a better story to tell here, but not a bad movie.

Re: Okay, this is Serial Thread

Don? Jay knew where her car was, so how could Don be involved at all? 15min in I felt like Adnan did it, and I still do. One thing I wish the show would explore, and maybe they will, is the nature of Jay and Adnan's relationship. Koening is going with the narrative that they were acquaintances. That...

Re: The Strain (new Vampire Show from Guillermo del Toro)

Pilot had too many moving parts, and felt cheap in an unintentional way. They should have focused solely the plane storyline instead of introducing all the characters -- fucked with the pace.

Given that Del Toro directed this it had a bizarre lack of energy. Gonna give it a few more eps though.

Tywin probably knew it was the Martells who offed Joffrey but he needs their money more than he needs Tyrion. As far as off spring, the kiddie king is technically his heir, so it didn't matter that the psychopath was put down with Tyrion taking the fall. As for not killing Cercei, both she and the o...

Mr. Snowden did volunteer one personal fact, and it was telling. He told Mr. Williams that thanks to the Internet, he has been watching “The Wire,” an HBO show about, among other things, government surveillance. He said he really enjoyed it, up to a point: “The second season is not so great.”

Most important game for US is the first one in the group: Germany v Portugal

If Portugal wins that match it's going to be hard for the US to advance.

2 is wildly underrated, some of the best writing of the series. Frank Sobotka is one of the show's strongest characters. 3 is overrated because it has Hamsterdam and Stringer died yo but its very uneven and the story doesn't really come together to anything coherent until the last few episodes.
