They shot 35mm, but it was purposely framed for 4:3. It's basically going to be a bunch of underutilized space on the left and right.

My only worry is if they are taking the full frame and then cropping that down to a 16x9 ratio, which would mean you'd lose a lot of the top and bottom of the picture.
