I think anybody who finds a hint of disrespect in Control is wrong/dumb. It's closer to tribute song than anything.

Takeover was like directly insulting towards Nas and others. Control feels more like granting people some respect by saying "I aim to be on the same level you are". Interpreting it as insult seems like some seriously defensive, oversensitive nonsense.

Virtually every song ever with any sort intro could shorten that in half and be better. This song is no different. This is not my thing, but it does seem like a fully competent song with a beat that works very well with Bender's style that people who do enjoy this sort of thing might actually enjoy.
