Re: Raspberry Pi thread

I don't recommend using a Pi as a Plex Server, as it doesn't have the horsepower to do transcoding if needed. I'm not sure about broadcasting Kodi content to other devices, as I haven't looked into it personally. I do know that Recalbox (an alternative to RetroPi, which uses a lot of the same inter...

A lot of the scenarios presented seem unrealistic:

Take your dog to the park so you can ignore him and play Zelda.
Stop playing real basketball so we can play 2K with tiny controllers on tiny screens.
Go to a party but keep playing Nintendo while everyone else watches.

Good times.

This was one of the 5 first CDs I copped. I think they were:

He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper
House of Pain debut
2 Hype (Kid n Play)
Back to the Hotel (N2DEEP)
Sex Packets

Re: Raspberry Pi thread

I've ordered a raspberry pi 3 and should be getting it soon. I went with one of the Cana kits on Amazon since it came with everything. My idea is to run it as a Plex server to have other devices as Plex clients, if I have the terms right. I've been wanting to do this for a while now. I was curious ...

Re: Streaming music services comparison/recommendations

I think it's even cheaper if you pay up front, like $68 for the year. I've been hesitant to pay for a streaming service, but I think I'll try out the Amazon too. Yeah, it's $79/year for Prime members. Makes it $6 and change per month. I'm not sure it beats Spotify for features, but if you don't car...

Re: Streaming music services comparison/recommendations

Trying 30 days of Amazon Music Unlimited now. Advantages are you can upload some tracks to the cloud (to fill the gaps in their library, similar to Google Music), seamless integration with Echo/Alexa, and only $7.99/month or $79.99/year for Prime members.

Yeah, either buy physical disks or add an external drive. If an external being cumbersome is a concern you could always plug in something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Lexar-JumpDrive-128GB-Flash-Drive/dp/B012PKV7RC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1474909384&sr=8-3&keywords=256+thumb+drive" onclick="wind...

I did get a Pi 3 since I've been building the retro game systems in the other thread. This thing is pretty genius as it...

Re: Sony to release a more powerful version of the PS4

Caved recently and picked up an Xbox One S 2TB. Don't really care about Kinect anymore as I don't play any games that utilize it and it rarely works without yelling voice commands at it. More internal storage, no power brick and slightly improved controller are also bonuses. IMO, this new iterative ...
