We have a Spotify account, but I also keep all my MP3s on a NAS drive. When I search for an album, it searches Spotify and my MP3s so I just play it from wherever.

The Spotify account is in my wife's name, so I can't use the offline feature but I'm cool with loading MP3s onto my iPhone.
