Re: Favorite Pharoahe Monch songs
Pharoahe Monch is arguably my favorite MC of all time, but 1998 is the cut-off point. The Simply II Positive demos were recorded in the late 80s, so he was great for roughly a decade - you can't ask for much more than that. Guest appearances prior to 1999 were few and far between. It's a shame that...

Re: Anyone interested in this here Dr. Octagon sequel?
The new tracks sounds okay ... beat is nice, QBert did his thang, and Kool Keith sounds better than on recent releases. Does anyone have all of the unreleased doc oc songs that came with the 20th anniversary box set that dropped last year? Here's 3 bonus tracks not on the OG release: https://www.fil...

Re: Mecca And The Soul Brother Vs. The Main Ingredient
"Mecca And The Soul Brother" by a mile. PR's beats were awesome on "Mecca..."! With his production, he defined the sound of the following years, plus there were no shitty R&B choruses on it as far as I remember. And last but not least, Puba wrote PR's rhymes, so he sounded much better. I always pref...

his first 3 albums are equally great ... love em all ... I listen to all of em once a month at least.
voted for DIAD because I played it the most ... it was my first choice when I was blunted and had to take a break from listening to Illmatic and Stress in 1994. great times back then...

Didn't listen to most of the stuff on your list. Whatever, Elucid "Valley of Grace", Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire "Brainiac" and the Cryp One EP are nice. Ain't Showbiz & AG's "Take It Back" an official album? By the way, 2 of my favorite EPs this year are Crimeapple "Metralleta" and Lil Eto & V Don "Om...

didn't listen to KMD's BB for years ... used to play it a lot in 94, but since Doom went solo on Fondle Em, I prefered his early solo works. Re: Drunk Sunday Poll 11.26.17 Pick Em
R&R still sounds very good nowadays, while Goodfellas suffered from being the follow-up of the greatest Show & A album, plus there were too many guests on it - instead of featuring all those guys, Show shouldn't have retired from emceeing... didn't listen to KMD's BB for years ... used to play it a ...

album aged well. it was one of the better 97 albums for sure ... although OK's first 2 albums set a very high standard, "the equinox" was a worthy follow-up. I would rate if 7/10. for those who think the skits are annoying, here's an edited version that leaves the skits out and includes a couple of ...

Organized's "Bring It On" by far. One of the illest Buckwild beats, plus both MCs displayed even more insane flows by creatively changing their cadences. One of my favorite remixes of all time.
