Re: Ant-Man

I am into it. It might be a hard sell in some ways, but it might be able to ride good will from Age of Ultron and Marvel's fairly solid track record.

Re: Fast & Furious 7 Masturbation thread

I was a little worried at the beginning, the cold open with Statham looked like some shit from Crank and just didn't fit visually. But it settled down from there on, and I knew they were on the right track when the camera did a 360 with the Rock Bottom (pretty sure they ripped off some of their cam...

Re: Fast & Furious 7 Masturbation thread

In some ways the best of the series, but its really hard for me to pick one from 5, 6 and 7 as THE single best one. Each of those has elements that are superior to others, but each also suffers in minor ways that others don't. I don't even want to try to rank them, I'm just glad they were able to k...

It is always subjective as skill does come into play, but the type of action RPG From Software is doing now are actually really punishing. Progress is hard won, so if you don't have a lot of time to commit then it might better to skip it. The load times are a bummer, but a patch is coming to help sh...

Re: Final Fantasy XV

Sounds like it plays a lot like Kingdom Hearts. Which would be awesome. It has much of that vibe. If you ever played Crisis Core on the PSP (or the new Type-0 HD), which riffs on the Kingdom Hearts formula (heavy Tetsuya Nomura involvement in all projects) in many ways. XV is a further evolution of...

Re: Final Fantasy XV

not a fan of the way the combat systems in rpgs have been moving toward 'fluid' combat. obviously game looks awesome but of course you'd expect that. What's gonna make or break this game is probably the level up system and the combat. it looks like you can literally just attract a boss and then Dod...

Anyone playing this? I gave it a short spin yesterday. It definitely has the feel of the Souls game in terms of mechanics and controls, but the whole vibe is different. Like stated before it came out, the game is much faster paced. You aren't spending all your time blocking hoping for an opening. R...

i'm a turn based fan but this doesn't look half bad. i hope they fix the framerate issues. fukkin hate that shyt. Even if it is a holiday 2015 release, the frame rate should stabilize by release. Keep in mind, the frame rate hitched a bit at times, but mainly ran smooth. I'm a fan of both turn-base...

I've always strongly preferred action RPGs to turn-based ones, this will probably be the first FF game since 10 that I even attempt to play.

Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD came out today for PS4/Xbox One. It included a demo code for Final Fantasy XV -Episode Duscae-. The demo is lengthy totaling around 4 hours with a good deal of side quests and a few main quests. The combat is fucking great and it is a bold decision to make such an action-cent...

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was pretty great. Powers released its first 3 episodes already. I watched them all last night. While I love the comic, the series seems to lack the same edge to the dialogue. Some of the costuming is distracting. A lot was changed around from the comic to the show, and the ...

I love the Vita, but unless you're looking to play indies on the go, it is not a great handheld. There are some gems here and there like Persona 4 Golden, Tearaway, Gravity Rush and Freedom Wars, but it is largely a digital based console (so factor in buying a huge memory card).
