Tayo, I am in agreement with Ardamus, "Extra Strength," is the one out of all them that makes the most sense for a posse cut and just flat out sounds the best. I'm with it.
i'm with you on the choice. it's busy enough to rock for a solid 5/6 minutes without getting too repetitive, i think. plenty of 16 bar sequences for everyone to get down with/on.

Right ... but let's stop right there.
Backtrack to page one and read my question aimed at producers/engineers. I'm curious about what you think.
that makes sense, for simplicity's sake. all the changes and such can easily be added after the fact, at least, with the way i sequence my joints. y'all can all get busy over the same 16, no stress.
i suppose an official vote will be in order, though. if my joint is selected, i'll hook up the basic loop for kids to rock over.
This could be fresh, or it could be a disaster, but I think a cool idea would be to take whatever emcees wanted to get down..
Let's say it's 20..
Put everyone's name in a hat (metaphorically), with a number from 1-20.. Each one gets their number..
We come up with some basic idea for a story..
Give everyone 8 bars..
Whoever has verse 1 has to start the story.. They send person 2 their 8 bars, then they pick up the story from there, etc, until emcee 20 gets to close it out.
^ That sounds noble put potentially, even probably, a disaster. Personally I think we should show and prove that we can come together for a cohesive posse cut before we get that experimental.
I'm also of the opinion that the produers/engineers should have the final say on what verses make it, meaning the right to cut anyone they feel just doesn't rep hard enough over their beats. But if this is the case we should also have at least two different loops to spit over, in the event that there are emcees who simply chose the wrong loop to spit over and could still be incorporated into the mix. So if for example, Nacho Vidal thinks I sound like a whiny Cornell Dean of Admissions on his loop but acknowledges that Mi might sound OK on another, I won't be eliminated immediately. I doubt this idea will fly with everyone though.

I am.
Point us in the right direction. What'cha got?
Didn't realise it was just one track. In that case, not to knock myself, but Tayo has this on lock. His mixing is better (read: he mixes, and i don't) and his output is greater.
^ not sure what you meant but everything is all hypothetical right now and I actually anticipated that there would be beat changes, and that there'd be at least two different beats to rock over, not a simple election to pick the absolute best ones.
Thun asked me to check this thread. I would like to do this as well, but I don't have much to input other than I think we should have SOME kind of theme, otherwise, all the braggadocio and egos might get to be a bit much.

My $.02.
I think when we choose the beats, themes will emerge naturally. There's a thin line between being topical and being contrived and pretentious. I'm optimistic we can think up something dope though. If not, there's always "Cocaine" and "Dirty Bitches."

I think the theme should be something simple, non-internet related.
Gettin' Your Hustle On (legal or illegal)
Bitches (obviously female rappers could rap about doods or chicks - their choice)
Where I'm From (could be interesting considering this boards diversity of experiences and backgrounds)
Paragraph President wrote:"Where I'm From" is by far the best suggestion thus far.
word I think that shit would be dope
I'm with it dun.
AWAE - your beat is pretty dope but I don't think it would suit a posse cut very well. Something about the drums seems kind of rigid to me too. Not a bad track though.
