Andre vs. MF Doom

When voting take into account all the OutKast and KMD releases. All their aliases and then vote.

Hard choice. It's a question of consistency and sheer inventiveness (Doom) vs an incredible peak and emotional earnestness (Dre).

But only one of those people wrote the first verse to Millenium. Voted for that guy. Even if he's condemned to dropping guest verses on unbearably shitty southern posse cuts while working on his neo-ragtime donkeyshows.

i only like doom on features. I can't listen to a full album of his...I know thats a hip-hop sin this day and age...I just dont find him attention grabbing at all.

I actually voted for the one thats ahead in the poll for once... :ohsh:

hard choice for sure. doom was my favorite rapper for a while, but after seeing him live I lost interest a lot. still holds down one of my top 10 but I dont even bump his shit any more. his show was good but doom was really late, had his brother backing up his shit (in a totally different style, horrible collabo), and took breaks in the middle to go into the back for whatever..
andre's shit in outkast will forever stick in my mind as being the most consistently dope through their first three albums. talk about rewinding shit to hear a verse again.. definitely...

i like doom and all but come the fuck on.

on catalog, i would've picked andre slightly.

in their prime, it's andre in a no brainer.

Viktor Vaughn 1 is one of my favorite albulms of all time.

on the other hand

Outkast made me cry, I know I shouldn't let that affect me, but still, on some level it does.

Yeah. If Andre hadn't come out of the woodwork and dropped 3-4 of the best verses in the past year I'd say it could be close cause Doom's been a very consistent MC, but Andre's shown he's still got a lot more skill than Doom. Lyrically, they're about even, but Andre murders Doom with his flow.

gotta be andre. i like doom and all, but you can make an argument for andre as a top twenty all time emcee. i don't think you can do the same for doom, despite his consistency.

"hes looking to get his ass whoop'd and his cash took."

DOOM by a landslide. dudes lyrics are incredible and I like the "nerdy comic book guy" vibe better than the "preppy plantation owner" look that Andres been rockin.
