With all the D.I.T.C. enthusiasts on this board I won't be surprised if Diamond D takes this.

Yeah, "Radio" is good but it does sound dated (and not in a good way like, say, "Criminal Minded"). I still listen to "I Can't Live Without My Radio" on the regular, though.

"Stunts, Blunts.." gets overrated on this board and is nowhere near as good as "Funky Technician" or "Runaway Slave" but it does have joints i love and still play like "Best Kept Secret", "Check 1, 2", "Fuck What You Heard", "What You Seek", "I'm Outta Here" and "Freestyle (Yo, That's That Shit)".

Sidenote : "No Wonduh (The Projects)" and "5 Fingaz Of Death" are better than anything on "Stunts..".

If he would've hacked off the wacker joints ("Cream N Sunshine"), changed the chorus on "Can't Keep My Grands to Myself" and had the Cru remix of Hiatus on there, Hatred... would be heralded as some kind of overlooked classic. I've been defending this album for years.

I love Stunts, Blunts and Hip Hop, but the good joints on the follow up hold up better than anything outside of "Sally..."

I know the songs... can recite the lyrics... i know LL's hat is like shark's fin even before that shitty movie... but for some strange reason I've never listened to that album front to back.

and i feel ashamed... help please

It's hard for me to front on an album with "Rock The Bells", "You'll Rock", "I Need A Beat", "I Can't Live Without My Radio", "Dangerous", etc, but it has too much filler on it.

"Stunts" is one of the most well-produced albums in the history of hip hop, so it gets my vote. While I was never a big fan of the vocals, this is Diamond D's masterpiece from a production standpoint.

I can honestly go either way on this, though.

radio shouldnt have a single vote here

stunts is a classic as it is...but if you took off confused the posse cut and the interludes it would stand up against its more revered peers such as low end and be a no brainer top ten album

I gotta go with LL too. "Rock The Bells" is one of the greatest songs in the history of rap music. Diamond's album sounds better front to back, but the high-points on Radio take it for me.

Although I don't particulary like LL nowadays, everyone has to admit that he was a beast on the mic before, say, 1990. Top 10 MC. I've only recently started listening to the Diamond D album, and while I do like it, Radio takes the cake on this one.

radio isnt really LLs best album. its dope when im in the mood but its also really dated. his production and his rapping advanced as time went by.

we all thought Diamonds album sounds dated as well till busta proved us wrong.

had to go with Stunts blunts and hiphop. i also think the album title is one of the best ever

can't even remember when I listen to radio last time.
Stunts, Blunts And Hiphop is probably in my top 10 sample based albums all time.
I still hear it from front to back without skiping a track, that's why my vote.

Diamond D cannot rap. Shame on you for claiming his second album is some sort of lost jewel, that shit is garbage
