Drop some knowledge about Point Blank

Post by Rachel Hobozal »

Galvy, Blast, anyone? I've known about Point Blank and the rest of the South Park Coalition for a long ass time now, but for whatever reason I've never actually owned any of his albums. That has to change right now. Which albums of his are essential? I'm not gonna buy 'em all, I'm mainly trying to get all the S.P.C. classics.

sort of a jackasss,

mailed me cd-r's after I tried to buy his records a few years ago.

his early work is the route to go, but since he Sean Price'd (er HustleCrowe'd) me I haven't listened to his shit in a while. Instead of buying his first two albums, you could just buy a couple specific Screw tapes where Robert takes the best from both albums and blends them beautifully along with shit from PSK, 20-2-Life, and UGK. A lot of his material sounds better like that anyway. It's mainly shock-value hard-nosed SPC shit. Cool on Screw tapes, but the albums aren't must haves unless you're a nerdy random-rap completionist like myself.

Prone To Bad Dreams is my favorite. Bad Newz Travels Fast is great too.

He always reminded me of a Southern Method Man.

Rey is correct, he mid-era Screw tapes with his songs and freestyles are pretty incredible. He balanced his SPC and SUC duties quite well.

His new stuff is supposed to be pretty great. The mixtape/album with Z-Ro especially.

His verse on Multiple Choice Murders from K-Rino's latest is excellent.

was that the one that was supposed to be on some Blood meets Crip shit? I remember it had some ridiculous cover.

Blank sounded decent on that Flip/ Z-Ro album a couple years ago, but again, since he got me on for my money, I haven't really gone out of my way to follow his career.

I can understand that completely. Shady.

Seeing 'Mad at the World' for about twelve bucks kinda inspired this thread. How good is that album? I know I can get 'Prone To Bad Dreams' for about fifteen bucks from www.sosouth.com and www.cdbaby.com so I'm not really too worried about that one at the moment; unless it's easily his best album, in which case I need to order that shit.

Yep. Very silly looking, but supposed to be pretty cool.

Hobo, Prone To Bad Dreams is the way to go.

Blank is a hustla sounds like he hustled you....sorry to hear.....

Mad at the world and Prone to bad dreams are both classics....to me Mad at the world is one of the top ten all time spc releases.....its got a 14 minute posse cut on it..with alot of spc kats.....

The blood and crip album is pretty amazing, I was able to hear almost all of it...dont think it will be out anytime soon tho....its been slated to drop for about 2 years now.....along with Blanks new solo....all of blanks new shit is top notch tho....

Man I bought a sealed copy of Mad At The World for two dollars from Tower when they were going out of business. I was psyched (cyssed, even) until I got home and realized it was just a CDr with photo copied liners. Looks like he hustled Tower as well.

^ I paid $19 each for, Prone To Bad Dreams & Mad At The World, which unbeknownst to me (or anyone else who bought from his website) were Fuji cd-r's sent in paper sleeves with marker scribbled on them.

More than that, he kept my pennies after I returned the shit.

suppose he needed the $$$ more than I did.

i ain't gonna front, after this many years, it's sort of sad/ funny
