GZA - Alphabets

Post by B. Ware tha Siniq »

5%er rap is a great form to me, but duke still sounds uninspired. And this is allegedly the "official single" (whatever that means these days). I don't know... I think I might like "Paper Plate" better. :owens:

It's not bad at all. I actually didn't mind "Paper Plate" either, I just think it's stupid for him to be dissing 50 Cent (cuz frankly who cares).

I just think he can do better, the beat also isn't that great to me.

yeah... i feel if he got with rza again (if rza can even provide it anymore) it would be a classic... i feel like gza still has it

but yeah i would have rather heard ragu rip him up and him swing back and then get ate up in the streets

This is better than anything he did on 8 Diagrams.

Fantastic song. Possibly the best lyrical performance this year. He also sounds much more focused and still razor-sharp with the rhythm.

Hes a running joke on this site for some reason, I hope people form their own opinions instead of assuming this is weak becuz mr Deskjob who always wanted to rhyme like GZA says it's wack.

I never heard anyone complain about his calm flow back in the day, listen to this and Shadowboxin, same thing.

Album could be the best wu to drop in a long while.
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly

This is dope. I think he's choosing the wrong beats to showcase his understated flow though.

Wow. This is some classic Wu sounding shit! Those drums are dirty, filthy, ruggedness. He sounds a little more inspired than on that "Paperplate" joint, too.

The beat is good but I still think he would have sounded better on another one, perhaps at a different tempo. Get at GZA for an acapella and remix that shit, man!

song is alright, I still think it could be better. Beat is pretty bland and repetative to me. The lyrics and the song's general construction are solid though.

I think this beat is really dope. It's got the :wutang: feel to it. This is what he should rhyme over. Should have put Ghost on this joint. Their styles compliment each other.
