Also called "Dope Boy Fresh" apparently...

I think this is a clean version, but the quality is on point.

I actually think he performed it a little better live. Beat's still dope, but the verses are kind of :meh:

It's okay I guess. Just reminds me how much better off he'd be with an album of Rick Rubin beats though.

I really like the beat. Jay-Z is simply irrelevant at this point. So fucking tired. Just stop. Two guest verses a year. Please.

I was goin to say exactly the same...

Beat is great, but I'd prefer to hear turf talk on it

It's amazing really. Even if you just go back to The Black Album, which I'm not as high on as a lot of people on this site, the density of his verses was exponentially higher. Comparing his first three albums and to his verses on Kingdome Come, AG and subsequent material is like comparing Rakim to Bow Wow.

it's aiight, but it's not ILLLLL :jayz:

lyrics are good until he gets lazy, which is for at least a third of the song.

"it's too easy/ I got ladies on shoulders showing me they chi-chi's" :naswtf:

i ain't jockin Jay off dumb raps like that. :omggay:

that third verse is MEHHHH. if this guy wasn't so rich, even more of his raps wouldn't impress.

Lil Wayne is doing more creative rapping than Jiggamayne at the moment.
You're in Heaven right now, God.
Create the universe you dream of.

yeah we know you can't publicly criticize the Gawd

but even you know this isn't :ohsh: compared to his best.

it's better than... some stuff. but it's also NOT better than some MCs lesser than Jigga :killacam:

what does this beat have in common with A Milli?

You're the second person to mention this, but I don't see any comparison.

No repeated screwed up phrase, the repeated phrase is only on the hook... What is the basis for this comparison?

It's a Run DMC sample, with a guitar sample, and some Rick Rubin era drum machine snares.

The Cool Kids jack thing I get, but I don't see how this is anything like "A Milli"

this is great

no more whisper flow

no gay ass soul samples

i'm feeling it.

will sound better uncensored i'm sure. gets disjointed with the blank outs.

bass does bite milli pretty hard.

love the run hook tho, wouldn't be the same without it.

*edit*. props for the dirty version!!!

repetition of a vocal sample with a terrible chopping of a shitty sample and very repetitive drums to give the illusion something cool is going on when really what you are hearing is just a verrrrry bad beat.

beat is dope. But the vocal sample is just on the hook man. It's not throughout the whole song like A Milli

u gotta admit its similar to milli. bassline and chopping of the hook. not that thats a bad thing, but its quite evident.

i really don't understand how either this or a milli can be perceived as a good beat. gimme some looped up soul shit all day any day over this. early

I don't think they're anything a like. At all. This sounds more like "I'm Mikey (I Rock)" than it does like "A Milli"... sorry.

1) A Milli doesn't have a hook. Same loop throughout

2) A Milli has a screwed Phife vocal sample, this has a regular speed Run-DMC sample

3) The vocal sample drops and the beat changes up for the verses

etc, etc.

The only real similarity is that they both sample a rapper. Wow, what a trend. And I'm not defending cuz I like the song, the verses are weak, I just don't see the comparison. And I think "A Milli" and this are both great beats.

yeah its not EXACTLY like a milli.

there are only 4 musical elements to this song.
1. the run chopped up sample (similar to the phife chopped up sample. granted it doesn't go the whole song)
2, the drums (not 808, so theres one difference)
3. bassline (exactly like a milli. pretty sure thats an 808 bass kick)
4. guitars (theres another difference)

50% is enough to call them SIMILAR.
