back on topic:

are there bars limits? can you do rap riggedy rhymes or is free verse preferred? i'm a free verse poetry guy ... obviously when i write rhymes...there are...rhymes...but in poetry i don't like structure much

what are the rules basically.

Writers do what they like, no rules about structure or the length of the piece.On the other hand I dont know what the judges prefer to see, since it`s all subjective judging.Check the last year`s tourney to get a feel for the thing :
