Willie D facing 20 years

Post by step one »

Im sure I read an interview a few years back where he was talking about investing in property in the middle east. Guess that didnt work out...

Founding Geto Boy member Willie D was arrested by federal authorities who accuse the gangsta rap pioneer of running a scam involving iPhones. Willie D., born William James Dennis, was taken into custody at Bush Intercontinental, after he was indicted for his relationship with a company named Texas One Wireless. The rapper allegedly posed as an electronic salesman and used eBay to interact with international buyers. He conducted businesses transactions independent and outside of eBay, and allegedly took numerous orders for iPhones and other electronics. Funds were transferred into Willie D's bank account and he allegedly sent tracking numbers out, but never sent the iPhones or electronics. After numerous complaints, the rapper would tell the consumers that the packages were either lost in the mail, or that he could not refund their money until he located the products, but he would eventually cease communications with the victimized parties. Willie D faces a 20 year sentence in prison along with a $250,000 dollar fine

i remember you saying that. did you ever try and remix some of his shit?

man, i remember Willie D boxing at point, too. and i vaguely remember him saying something about moving overseas. around when the last Geto Boys album dropped.

for the hell of it, here's a Willie D quotable: "i'm not the huffin' puffin' type/i'm the type to put the pistol in your muthafuckin' life"
"tim dog! i hope he's scamming bitches in heaven.." - EichTurner

The judge must've been one of the peeps that got ripped off.

Willie D was the easily the weakest of the 3 (or 4 if you count Mike) IMO. Can't believe he's your favorite rapper. That's cool though, I liked Charlie Brown and Dinco more than Busta.

there's a difference between "favorite" and "best". willie is the funniest rapper ever.
and i disagree,i think he's a much better rapper then everyone in the geto boys except face.

this bums me out. Whenever I would see one of the Geto Boys in a bar, it would make my whole fucking week. Willie D is hilarious in person. I told him I was a big fan of his music, and he said angrily, "Which album motherfucker?!" I said Controversy, and he relaxed.

the acapellas are out there but i believe they only come out for white label. rap a lot makes a point of only releasing one or two acapellas from their album at a time. usually on cd singles or 12's. i hope he gets off but i have a feeling he's gonna do at least two years in the bing.

Didn't Willie D run for public office once?

And the only rapper who makes me laugh more than Prodigy is Willie D, he is the king of insane shit talk and :ohsh: moments.

I don't think there are any Willie D accapellas from that era. Rap-A-Lot just did not do them.

IMHO 20 years is out of hand for just about any nonviolent crime.

Totally agree with this, on all points. I had the pleasure of delivering Willie D a pizza some years ago, and I was full blown star-struck for the first time ever. I told him I was a fan, and he shot me a weird look and shook my hand.

"You're transparent, and I can see ya pussy... pussy, pussy pussy up in your drawers"

"youse a punk, youse a bitch I'll say it to your face... youse a punk, youse a bitch"

No one has ever been more consistent with his image.

cause your granny was a hoe
and your momma was a hoe too...and then came you

i'd find nothing but some bitches and prostitutes"

Man, this sucks. Foolish thing to do; it's really hard to pull a scam like this today and not get touched. Not that I'm condoning it or anything, but it seems like Willie should have known better.

It's been said already in this thread, but despite the outlandish posturing on his albums Willie D is apparently the nicest guy ever. A couple years ago on the Cocaine Blunts forum (RIP), someone linked to a post at the okayplayer boards (... :larry: ) that was titled "Willie D Saved My Life."

The post was written by someone who had been walking through a real rough part of Houston late at night, with her little sister when she was like 10 or 11. Someone pulled up in a car, and lo and behold it was Willie. He proceeded to call their parents and give them a ride to their house, like 20 miles out of his way.

Willie D = American Hero.

A couple of my favorites:

"Your mom grit her dentures / cause I be eatin' with my hands not the proper utensils."

"I propose a bill on capital hill / to kill all bald headed women at will."
