No "Body Movin'" Def Squad remix? No O.G. "Intergalactic?"

Still a solid list, but was looking forward to hearing those in a better quality.

This reissue series is not one to sleep on. "Check Your Head," in particular, sounds like a different, better album. Since the original CD release (not unlike Pearl jam's 'Ten') was taken from the cassette master, the drums were always somewhat soft. This version is such a noticible difference. And while it doesn't overproduce it like the word "remastering" somewhat provokes fears of, the bass and the drums are much more flushed out a midst the gritty soundscape.

I'm saying it's head-and-shoulders the best reissued rap album thus far.

I hope someday that the De La catalog, ESPICIALLY "De La Soul is Dead" gets the same treatment.

According to a music distributor source, the first single from the Beastie Boys new album Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 1 will be "Too Many Rappers," featuring Nas. It will be a limited 12-inch vinyl single, available on July 21 from indie music stores only.
