also, lil wayne is the most overrated mc to ever grace the face of the earth and i don't believe anyone will ever come close to touching his status as such

dude is a gimmick with circa witty punch-lines and a few dope beats yet is somehow a 2008/9/10 rap god

Murda Muzik used to be my favorite MD album, but Hell on Earth trumped it in the long run.

yes, Dr. Dre made some very solid beats on Relapse, but almost not one of them was more stellar than the lyrics, except for Underground.
Dre is slippin, but is obviously sitting on a bunch of ill shit... that even he doesn't know how ill it is... thus he is out of touch with modern rap.

did my own blood brother just say that in the same thread that Alaska said Missy Elliott is a better rapper than me?

FUCKING RAP IS FUCKING OUT OF FUCKING CONTROL.

Tim, that's just like me saying Vanilla Ice is a better rapper than you cause he sold more. Dude, stop being such a bitter old man. Missy can afford a better mix than me. She can sing better than me. But as a RAPPER? C'mon dude. I'm not a battle MC but I'll step to Missy in a minute and slice her head off her now-half-decent body.

stop the madness
:megaman:
because i said she can rap better than you im a bitter old man? you cant even find a beat. you have no style. you jam 40 extra syllables into your raps. this isnt new shit. you know this and accept it. she has more flow and style than you so yes she can rap better than you. it has nothing to do with sales. it has to do with technical proficiency and that shit doesnt come from a mix.
i have songs with slow, sparse, minimalist flows. you ignore them, as do others.
to think of me as a one-dimensional rapper is to not know me at all, or know much of my past stuff, much less my new stuff.
it's all good.

and yes, as much as i love you as a friend, at times you come off like a crochety old man waving his cane from his front porch, and shaking his fist at these young rap scallions and their weird ways.

i know, i come off like a fucking rap/rapping insaniac at times (most times, probably).

i think that parts of each observation are true.

just don't think your opinion is accurate if you think i'm always rapping fast.
---

Nas is going to be seen as the best rapper in world history in about 5 years. If you disagree... wait 5 years and holla at me

if Outkast makes another non-album album, then we oughta kidnap them and force them to record 10 songs together

the best thing Busta Rhymes could do for himself at this point in rap history is REUNITE THE LEADERS OF THE NEW SCHOOL

anything less is uncivilized.

- Reasonable Doubt is NOT Jay's best album

- mainstream hip hop is currently more tolerable and has more replay value than underground hip hop.

1. you are not a young rapper, weird yes, but not young. and I dont generally comment on new rappers unless i like them because i dont pay that much attention to new shit.

2. i have heard plenty of your music and i know you rap at all different speeds, but you still havent developed a style other than rapping haphazardly over the track, and you yourself said you like it that way. so own it and dont worry about what i have to say but dont act like as though rapping on beat and developing style approaches is not as important to a good rap song as the forward pass it to a football game.

not sure how unpopular any of these are but w/e

Vol. 2 Hard Knock Life is a very good album.

Prodigy never fell off.

Pimp C was a better rapper than Bun B.

Damn, how is this an unpopular opinion with tracks like these:

Station Identification
Reprogram
Mad Izm
Down Goes The Devil
Build & Destroy
Who U Represent

That's six certified bangers. I even like a lot of the deep album cuts, even if the refrains are unbearable. Shit, I pretty much like the entire thing. Hakim is awesome. Tuffy is okay - nothing special.

I think that most people would share this opinion. His beats on the first three NWA albums are legendary. I ain't trying to hear any of that g-funk shit. My cut-off point is "Deep Cover".

Takin Mine is dope. I am a fan of that album

I listen to Boot Camp albums more often than :wutang: albums.

The new Mos Def album is good, and I listen to it on a regular basis.

Other than Outkast, southern rap music is hot garbage.

i get wreck I think was a 12" only song. It isn't on Takin Mine. Takin Mine has All Glocks Down, If Headz Only Knew, and a song with M.O.P.

What was the 2nd album? I know she had a single produced by Primo called "Guilty" but I wasn't aware there was a 2nd album.
