I have personal opinions that others won't like or agree with. Who give 1 fuck? not I.
I like vast, actually [cuz he punchline -RHYMES- slow-like me] , but not vordul. The got great lyrical underground subject matter/substance. Just ugly tho.
Whoever said GURU is boring, been hearing Gangstarr THE SAME WAY -I- been hearing GURU. Primo, rhythmic east coast reliable party/club beat-album jewel producer.....yet, on the other hand,
-GURU-the rapping version of Ben Stein.bueller?
'i'm monotone, and I kick elder wisdom/but I'M BORING, and i'm street, so i'm chillin'"-what a typical GURU verse sounds like to me. damn!
*but "Watch What You Say"-GURU, is the one saving grace.better than pure erythin'*
and
Evidence is the westcoast "Mr. Eon". -meaning extra doo-doo wackness-
evidence sucks bum bootie
conspiracy is going to become the best MC in Canada. Saukrates and Prevail are NOW BEHIND ME. with all my new stuff I got.
But no more personal comments. just public fan statements about others
RZA gets not the credit respect he has deserved in terms of the shit he do
and
eternia can DESTROY 85% of male/female MCs with one verse or a freestyled flow.
and Buck65 is canada's best white artist/MC. then madchild. -WHY SO MANY CATS H-A-T-E 'swollen members'? they as creative as the whole DefJux/hieroglyphics/project blowed collective(s)!.not quite, but you get my point. I love they overstylings of magical material.
and tight jeans with small T-shirts are FRAUD FUCKERY FAGOTRY
(spelling mistake intended)
timberlands, a black carhart hoodie, black pants and a 40 and a blunt, with a walkman/ipod and jewellery, (spiritual or ice bling) IS HIPHOP roots
and Black Thought and The Last Emperor/Posdonous/Divine Styler/Supernatural HAVE THE HIGHEST QUALITY SUBSTANCE in hiphop history. not like plies, Kanye and young berg.
weed and alcohol ARE part of hip-hop culture.
you care about my irrelevance? well, I couldn't EVER care about your un-necessarily un-important not-mattering opinion from ya A-hole. A-HOLE!

when Canibus's co-sign turned into the biggest fizzle flop of the new millenium, that closed the door for a lot of next level, forward thinking, boundary pushing MCs to get the chance to go mainstream, if they had a big name co-sign like Wyclef or somethin'.Philaflava wrote:^ How so?
not until Drake and Lil Wayne did something similar happen, and Drake isn't even that lyrical. He is compared to GUCCI MAAAAYYYYNE but he's no Canibus.
it was so bad that Pharoahe Monch couldn't get on Shady Records (I'm being very hypothetical, but if Canibus had a thriving major label career, then lots more cats like him coulda made it happen... maybe Dr. Dre (or Priority) would have given Ras Kass a second chance, maybe Dr. Dre would have tried to work with Rakim more... etc.
I dream.

Stop giving Drake credit for wholly imaginary shit.Mindbender Futurama wrote:when Canibus's co-sign turned into the biggest fizzle flop of the new millenium, that closed the door for a lot of next level, forward thinking, boundary pushing MCs to get the chance to go mainstream, if they had a big name co-sign like Wyclef or somethin'.Philaflava wrote:^ How so?
