Copped and heard for the first time today. DOPE. I'm not gonna say it is the best shit ever, but it pretty much came on level with expectations, and that is saying a lot. I love the raw minimalist production, it works perfectly for Rae and the rest of the Clan. Looking forward to more spins and really determining how good this shit is. Surgical Gloves(Alchemist) and 10 Bricks(J-Dilla) stood out as being those crack tracks.

Went to Best Buy to cop this today.
The label or whatever for it was pretty hard to find, bottom of the shelf.
They were sold out. I was happy.
But then they said they only ordered either 15 or 30 of them.

Meanwhile, BP3 was all over the fuckin store. Hundreds of them pieces of shit.
I might sound :owens: right now, but I was pretty :jaz: in the store.
I overstand much of the inner workings of the industry, so you don't have to
tell me why things are like this.
Copped at Target.
 to motherfucking Target. They had at least 50 on the shelves.
And with all due respect, fuck Nas.

Yeah I tried to cop it this weekend at my spot that puts out cds a little early and they had already sold out, and while I was in there like 3 people came in to ask for it, while another 5 douchebags bought Blueprint 3 for 20 bucks (store owners told them they had to pay extra for the shipping ). I would have been so mad if I had paid 20 bucks for BP 3. Anyway, I bought it at FYE today, but I had to ask if they had it because they only had it behind the counter. Seems like it should have a pretty decent first week though, nothing crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if it moves a 60-100K in the first week. It's definitely selling in NYC at least. And yes, Nas is a tremendous ass for missing out on this opportunity.

Nas fucked up SOOOOO large. One god damn verse, man. Fuck it, just do 12 bars of FIRE. He could literally have phoned it in.

*Raekwon cuts random song short*
"yo  it's Nas on the phone, he got booked on some backstabber shit, one of the little QB duns ratted him and his wiz"

"yo Rae, I'm in the bing/
they still treat me like New York's king/
got caught up in a sting/
knockouts wearing championship rings..."

ANYTHING MOTHERFUCKER!

WHYYYYYY DID NAS FUCK OFFFFFF

Man, i can't wait to cop this album as soon as i can find it. Fucking ill as hell! I'm so happy that this album seems to be selling really well! He deserves it for sure, this album is really quite remarkable. Other than that one shit backing up the shitter r&b line, it's pretty much as much as i could ever have hoped for! I like both the euro bonus tracks a lot as well.

Agreed. The hook is a little odd, but the beat and the verses are hard as fuck.

Beats are hot. Good idea to not fuck with RZA totally on this.

However, the rhyming is the same.

Gotta agree that BP3 is gonna get more burn than this and even more unfortunate, that the Slaughterhouse joint is gonna get more burn than both.

Really? I pull out slaughterhouse for a handful of tracks and that's only to hear Crooked do his thing....

BP3 sounds too much like a pop record to me. Rae wins.

it's interesting that the two people championing bp3 in here are both in their mid 30s, considering it's an album made by an old man trying to stay relevant to a younger generation

If you're talking about the guest spots, you have a point, but the album's lyrics don't really cater to kids at all. Jay has a lot of lyrics on BP3 about not placating youngsters and acting your age.

Isn't the album itself an affront to that?

"Surgical Gloves" >>>>>> BP3

"Surgical Gloves" is better than most songs I've heard this year.

This album is great. I really dig most of the guest features and beat choices. Rae did a really, really good job on this one.

"House of Flying Daggers," "Surgical Gloves," and "Broken Safety" are fire.

Not saying anything new, but hey, just my two cents.
