Somehow I just found out about this... Gil Scott-Heron is releasing a new album, I'm New Here, on February 9, 2010.
Gil has struggled with substance abuse over the past 10-20 years. I doubted we would ever be lucky enough to here another album from this legendary artist. His music has had a greater influence on my life than any other artist that comes to mind. That said, my pre-order has been made.
