Scheme - Respect the Art (New Video) off of The Manifesto EP

Post by Scheme »

Here we bring you another video from The Manifesto EP for the song ג€œRespect the Artג€ (produced by 21 Grams).

For the ג€œRespect the Artג€ video we brought it back home to Chicago. My first video ג€œChicanoג€ represented my home away from home, this one here represents where I was born and raised. Mostly shot in the neighborhood I grew up in, the video is filled with nostalgic images, familiar faces, and iconic Chicago sites.

My purpose for both song and video was to express that no matter how you choose to portray your craft, all I ask is that you respect the art.

Hope you enjoy it.

Also, with the acapellas being released to the public, many producers all over the world took a shot in remixing the entire project (The Manifesto EP). Here we bring to you the remixed version by Rashid Hadee, a fellow artist from my city of Chicago. Rashid Hadee has worked with Little Brother, Psalm One, and has shared production duties with fellow Chicago native Kanye West.

My new project will be dropping soon as well. The "Same Rebel, New Cause" mixtape will be presented by Soul Assassins, 2Dopeboyz, Molemen, and RubyHornet. It will be out in February, following with a March release of the album-like version with all original music.

Thanks again for all the support.[/img]

This is dope. Always wondered why I never heard more (good) Mexican rap.

You have replaced Mellow Man Ace at the top of the foodchain, IMHO.

thanks. funny thing is where i work on beats, I have these messed up monitors that only work on one side and on this sample some sounds are paned to the left and right particularly that horn. I didn't know it was in the beat until I sent the finished beat.
