SMS is basically a network of loosely associated artists built around the huntsville local scene. Blockbeattaz are their inhouse producers, but they deal with others as well

Blockbeattaz are two producers, CP and Mali Boi. They usually don't work together, but call it BB for branding purposes. Most of the recent production has been from CP.

Slow Motion Soundz is the crew/label headed by Codie G. The group G-Side works under the SMS umbrella.

Paper Route Gangstaz used to be apart of SMS, but broke off to do their own thing. Everybody still maintains working relations with everyone else.

Jackie Chain is a weird looking asian dude.

db49 is a totally different animal from gside, nowhere near as spacey or introspective. just shitkicking dumbout fun stuff.

i actually wasn't crazy about this song myself when it first came out, it grew on me though

BUT, it is all immaculately crafted. the amount of effort and attention to detail these guys put into verses about getting drunk and getting your dick sucked is impressive in of itself
