I didn't know we were judging these artists based on the longevity of a good but not great career. Last time I checked, Mark Cuban wasn't content with 9 straight playoff appearances but no rings to show for it. As good as Big Boi's new album is, it can't be compared to the Infamous, Word....Life, or Soul on Ice.DLG wrote:which one of these rappers has stayed relevant the longest, never dropped into an abyss of mediocrity and wackness at any point and just put our an ill album this year?

I'm pretty sure the first three outkast albums can, though.Hair of the Dog wrote:I didn't know we were judging these artists based on the longevity of a good but not great career. of course they can, but do I really need to mention andre? I'm pretty sure there are few to no people here that would argue that big boi carries those albums. Don't get me wrong, I think big boi is a damn good emcee and integral to those albums. I'm just having a hard time believing that hes better than the rest of the emcees from the list.DLG wrote:I'm pretty sure the first three outkast albums can, though.Hair of the Dog wrote:I didn't know we were judging these artists based on the longevity of a good but not great career. Or maybe Finesse or Guru. Those are my favorite 3 of the group anyway.
