^ and that's a close second for me, when it comes to 'winter albums.' Then I'd draft The War Report, followed by either of the second or third Mobb Deep. Then there's a bunch of Wu-records somewhere after that, on my list.

It's not hip hop, but Duke Ellington and John Coltrane's Impulse Records album is pretty on the money, especially "My Little Brown Book".
