I've always liked the Murs/Aesop Rock combo. "You're Dead to Me" is one of my favorite Murs songs, and this song shows promise that 'Varsity Blues 2' will be in the same vein.

Anyone know if he is still signed to Warner Bros, or was that a one album deal?

It was good to see him getting money, and I liked the Warner Bros album, but I think the beats would suffer if he stayed that route.

The first Varsity Blues e.p. is the only Murs album I ever really got into. I hope this one has a similar vibe.

Never really understood why there often seems to be so many people who don't like Murs. He's consistent as fuck and has a huge ammount of really good material, especially considering how big of a catalogue he's got. I'll cop anything new he puts out - was kinda disappointed he didn't drop more projects in 2010 after he said that he would be doing so much...

I'm not sure if people actually dislike Murs, I just think alot of people are indifferent to him. I think the consensus here was that Murs for President was a solid album and I think everyone liked the last Felt Record. Personally I don't like that Melrose shit or half the stuff he does with 9th, but you can't really discredit his ability or his hustle.

Really enjoyed that last two projects Aes and Murs did together. Much more interesting than the 9th shit.

This is nice. Reminded me a bit of Felt 3 and I kept expecting to hear slug, but that's only because of the production. It seems like Aesop's really starting to develop his own sound.. Can't wait to hear that Mallon shit.

I met Humpty in FLA a while back and brought up the song he did w/ Murs. He said he was a fan and dug their song a lot.

Damn good look with DD172. That label on the low has been putting out some good shit.

not gonna lie I like murs but that dreadlocks shit was annoying me and all I could think of was poop when I saw it so I passed off a lot of his current music because of it.

will check out this EP and looking forward to the new album.
