Slaugherhouse signing was a favor/guilt to Royce. I dig the Yelawolf thing. Jim Jonsin set that up.

Interscope put out that Trunk Muzik 5-0 under Ghett-O-Vision's management. Makes sense.

awesome!

I pray Yela can become a superstar.

He's got the skill to. He's just so SUH-THURN that it might not translate to a national audience for an album or two... or ever :(

i pray he blows up tho

Slaughterhouse can finally make that lyrical masterpiece we been waiting fo' with the Shady production budget.

Don't wish any success for Joe Budden, but this is cool because it puts that "midstream" style of hip hop in the spotlight. Hopefully that means the radio renaissance is coming.

that slaughterhouse song is fucking terrible.

The yela song is cool, but I wish he would slow down the flow sometimes. He's obviously great at the fast stuff, but he could use some variety.

Trae kilt it too.

I don't care about Slaughterhouse; I just hope Yelawolf doesn't become another CaShis/Stat Quo/Green Lantern/Bobby Creekwater situation. I doubt it, though, Yela seems to grind 24/7.

Was thinking the same thing.

Though I'm still not a huge fan of Yelawolf, he put on a great show at SOBs last month, and that was following the fucked up moment of Young Chris having a seizure on stage and being taken out by paramedics.

There's been talk of Slaughterhouse signing to Shady for a minute, so this comes as no surprise. Hopefully their follow up will be an improvement.

dude the whole point of that song is rapping fast. it literally doesn't matter for dick what they're talking about (the content is pretty run of the mill actually, southern slanted project windows kind of stuff)

I realize that the whole point of the song is rapping fast, I just wouldn't want rapping fast to become the whole point of his career.

I've never even heard that Slaughterhouse album because I heard it sucked so bad. I should probably give it a listen.

I don't know this Yelawolf character. I heard a couple of his songs in a thread somewhere and thought he was rapping alright but the beats sucked. Don't care much about him, much like Eminem. Not sure what the appeal of him is..but whatever I don't expect people to have the same taste as me.

This will be a good look for all parties. Especially Slaughterhouse to get more exposure. Best of luck to both.

^^^Sounds like some shit that will get hella burn in clubs and for whoever Yelawolf core fan base is...add that to the fact he'll have the most famous white rapper in history co-signing for him now thus widening his fanbase...how is this a poor A&R move?
