The album is nothing really groundbreaking, but a solid 2010 pop album. None of the songs had me pressing rewind like her Monster verse, unfortunately, but there are some really good ones, so this will have some replay value.

The song with Eminem was the weakest one imo.

Her verses on "Monster" and "Bottoms Up" are so outstanding and unique that some of the album stuff seems unremarkable in comparison, but like you said this album is fantastic if taken as pure pop.

I still really dig the song with Em.

there isn't much logic to Nicki Minaj's fantasy imagination universe.
and you can create any new world you want, but one thing you need for it to be believable is consistency.

there's a lot of money and pageantry and pomp and ornate decoration in Nicky's presentations, but really... the substance of it all is so translucent that i wonder how long she can hold up the facade.
