Was that the version with the Slick Rick/Fat Joe remixes? If so, I loved that shit..wish i still had it.
I think that was on some music part one or part three. Ill rip em in the next few days and put em up
Thanks

It's definitely not on par with the previous "Some Music" CDs but I still like it a lot. I just need to find the damn thing.

haven't listened to count bass for a minute.

dwight's a quality album. art for sale has some incredible stuff on it.

missed act your waist size. was looking forward to it but gave up once i heard the distorted production. assumed there was a mixing/mastering issue. never considered that it might have been an aesthetic choice

what version of the album has this ?
<object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HB5z9L17wDc?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HB5z9L17wDc?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="390"></embed></object>

it's the Madlib beat for a quasimoto/homeliss derilex remix that he altered a bit.
<object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/b-3DroF-ukA&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/b-3DroF-ukA&hl ... &version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></embed></object>
some old poster on the stones throw message board told me a while ago that someone @ ST (perhaps Madlib himself) wasn't very pleased with that. is that why he never signed with ST ? (Egon and Count were buddies in college). All speculation...

Wow...I was just asking someone the other day why they thought Count never made it onto Stones Throw or any of the big indies. I always figured he just didn't want in, since it couldn't have taken much more than a DOOM co-sign, which he already had.

That video wasn't posted too long ago. The picture might be a little misleading. Maybe the return of Count Bass?

naw it's from 2001
I got the answer to my initial question
it was an exclusive on his website around that time.

There were two or three different pressings of Dwight Spitz though, right. Because I think the Day By Day version was different from the Nature Sounds one. Was it Nature Sounds?

Day By Day Entertainment version has No Time For Fakin' (part 2)
High Times Records version has Make a Buck (feat. Doom) and Beat 4our

I read once that there's a Japanese version of Act your waist size with some extra (super dope as the guy put it) beat that's not on the US version

anybody ever heard of that ?

High Times, of course! Yeah, because NSD is run by the same guy who used to handle High Times record label.

I would really like to see Count do an album with a top notch MC. He really needs his Madvillainy moment.
