I felt that way about She's Enough and Bad Bad Daddy, and they were my two least favorite, but now I like them both. Still at the bottom of the album for me, but the entirety of the album has really grown on me.
Loving this album. My Key and The Last the Say are still the favorites, but Ain't Nobody, Who I'll Never Be, and of course Something So are right up there.
I find the production has the crispness and knock most live instrument mixes don't. Sounds great in audiophile headphones.
Yeah "Bad Daddy" is the other one I can't fuck with. I appreciate the rapper/disowning dipshit followers metaphor (if that's what it's about), but not into it overall.
I actually deleted both those songs on my iTunes, and flipped a couple songs around. Now it's a classic. Sending to Pitchfork tonight with footnotes.

Interesting. I thought "Denvemolorado", "Good Times", and "Liquor Lyles Cool July" were some of the best tracks you guys have done, IMO.
I also really like Always Coming Back Home To You and Trying To Find A Balance.
Two of my favorite Atmosphere tracks. Had the new album and teh bonus CD sitting at home since Tuesday and haven't had chance to listen to it. Packaging is cool though, but my two year old kid will fuck it up in no time.

Trying To Find A Balance is definitely the shit. I guess with me.....all the real obscure tracks have always been my shit. Tracks like "Multiples Reprise No. 2", "Guns And Cigarettes", "WND", "Flesh" feat. I Self Divine, and "The Bass And The Movement" will always be some of my fav. And there was this one track I heard where Slug raps about some kid who commits suicide for having superpowers. Forgot the name of it.
I never know the name of the song but the track with the "I Own A Camaro And A Mobile Home/So Where The Fuck You Gonna Go" stayed on repeat when I first got it. And it stays stuck in my head.

dids. you follow my tweets, i know this. i saw it.
when you get a spare sec, go peep my timeline. i gave short on-liner notes for all of the songs.
i touched on what became is about.
mac, your interpretation of bad bad daddy is close, but it's actually not about followers, it's about indie rappers i gave birth to.
them cats got my dna in them yo.

i will not deny that atmosphere is clearly one of my many influences, i've listened to their music for over 10 years now. i'm proud to have had the chance to collaborate with such an established and influential act.
I'll admit I was thrown off by the acoustic-ness, and the piano at the start of the album, but it the album picks up steam.
The album just feels so different from their previous work, though there is some carry over from WYGYLYPTSG.
Digged the live production, and Sean's lyrics are always on point.
I can't say this is my favorite Atmosphere album. I like when they're in boom bap mode, but I think I need to let this album marinate, and I'll appreciate more on repeated listens.
