In other words my life won't change at all, except for owning this CD. That's OK. It sounds like the CD is worth it.

Finally heard this and I love it, having had no real expectations.

Is there a twisted subtext to Breakdance Beach? I feel that there is but I can't quite identify it.

hahah, here goes...

When I was a kid while in Wild wood NJ. on vacation with my family, I was upset that they dragged me there instead of letting me (all of 12) stay home to break dance with my friends.

So for the entire trip I was a jerk to every one, mean mugging other kids my age with they're parents, just being a basic dick, and while my family was taking a photo I did a freeze in the sand in protest, thereby ruining the family photo.

Upon learning of this many years later, Wiz and Aes began discussing the possibility of writing a movie in which break dancers fought evil doers on the shores of New Jersey.

eventually the jokes morphed into that song. Hopefully that movie will be made one day.

Nice. I had theorized that you were somehow mocking the hilariously outdated whigerisms of Jersey Shore and taking them to their next logical conclusion. This explanation works, too.

Wow, hadn't checked this thread and am really surprised by how much praise Aesop is receiving. Last time I checked it was all "white emo-rap" and "overrated nonsensical multi-syllabic porn". Well not so much the last part maybe, but generally I've heard him critisized way more than here.

I respect Aesop a lot, but haven't listened since NSP.
On first listen I dig this project. Breakdance Beach is awesome and I hope that movie gets made. 80's style.

Every time I listen to Breakdance Beach, I picture a Frankie and Annette Beach Blanket Bingo themed video. Aes as the too cool for school lifeguard, Rob Sonz in one of those 1920s swimsuits, with an inflatable duck and a dollop of sunscreen on his nose. Wiz as a wacky hot dog vendor.

At some point, someone yells "SURF'S UP!!!!" followed by a group of people carrying some hatin ass hater on a surfboard and throwing him into the ocean.

Give me the word and I'll write the treatment.

What I meant: I haven't listened to any of his music since NSP came out, in 2007.

So...

last time I checked the general consensus amongst hip-hop fans was that Aesop was a atrocious white faggot, so I'm a little confused as well

"Breakdance Beach" is the song to beat this summer.
Check out my FREE album featuring MAC LETHAL, ALASKA from HANGAR 18, HOMEBOY SANDMAN and J57 of the BROWN BAG ALL STARS -

Song is too short, a feature heavy 6 minute remix version is needed.

that remix would be useless with the Hangar participating.
