Kinda strange how Nas talking to Tyler is pretty much the same as Ghostface talking to himself.

It's pretty, like, sad how, like, people have to sell their cover stories nowadays.

Like.

i'd say two autistics comparing and contrasting between bagel holes and the color purple (the actual color, not the literary entity)

celebrity interviewers are worse than celebrity djs, but i think the main idea behind the piece was 'lets put these two in a room together and watch the wacky hijinks fly' and in that sense they do succeed

first part reminded me of those interviews Mindbender used to do where he just rambles on about when he first heard the artist and how they influenced him personally, as if the reader gives a fuck.

some interesting things in there though, the main one being that XXL still exists. I havent seen an issue for ages.

i was writing something to the 'Yonkers' beat today, ironically. will remember to reference Nas in some way, after reading this. thanks for this ha ha

tyler is played. what did i say in my critique of Odd Future?

"see if they can keep up the hype for a year."

keeping up the hype for a year>>>>>>failing to generate any hype whatsoever after 10 + years of trying.

Maybe he should have interviewed over Instant Messenger or Twitter. It doesn't look like 20 year olds can even have a face to face convo anymore.

yep, the outcome usually ranges from "what the fuck" to "man...shut the fuck up".

Yo man, do you like cheese (please don't say no)?

This wasn't that bad, it was a fairly good read, thanks for posting. I remember in the 90s when Chuck D said something about the first generation of rappers having been grown men who had something to say (or even knew what they wanted to say), as a comparison to the younger acts in the 90s. Now we have basically kids, and even man-children.
Kool Keith: I wore a straw hat with a feather to the last Source Awards. When I got to Madison Square Garden everybody was looking at me. When I got back home I seen everybody and their mother in their video wearing a fuckinג€™ straw hat with a feather in it.

Tim Dog: ג€œWhat Kool Keith gonna wear? Iג€™m gonna do that shit in my video. Iג€™m gonna wear that shit really quick. Whatג€™s Tim Dog gonna wear?ג€

For those that don't have time to read here is a recap.

Tyler: "That's legit!"
Nas: "Aww thanks man."

sounds like XXL didn't have a back up piece to run should the interview turn out to be utter shit.

Didn't read but DID click the link, add 9 emoticons and a 1/2 assed message.

Stay out of the OF threads Jaz. You look like anyone else would look to you that repeatedly made it a point to go into any thread in T.R.O.Y. to say they don't like old school rap.

We get it.

DON'T carry on.

Tyler comes off as crazy immature for the most part, but I kind of like that they talked about out of the ordinary topics. It's boring to read the same type of interviews over and over.
