Post by ALASKA »

I had no idea this was out until the other day. it is jest from atoms family/center of the web. Was one of my favorite projects anyone from atoms family ever made.

if it should be in the show business forum i apologize.

Thank you for this . I remember Cryptic playing this for me years ago . He put this album up there next to Cold Vein as the strongest from Atoms Family. Really excited to hear it again

i would agree, i just didnt want to over sell it. i think it is a beautifully dark album, jest did all the production and all of the rapping, minus one shitty guest appearance by me. its just a really well put together album. love the writing style, and the mood of the production.

 Dope shit thanks, Expendable Men is the jam. There's a lot of replay value here too...chill ass beats and layered, thought provoking lyrics.

This album is just all kinds of great. I LOVE the beats. Why don't people make beats like this??? So many joints too...besides the ones we've mentioned, Dark City, Prophalaxis, Disturbance Identified, Paradoxical Statement, and Miracles are all killer as well. It's a pretty daunting listen, but he mixes in enough instrumentals and interludes that it doesn't quite feel like overload. Bigg Jus immediately comes to mind as a rapper to compare him to, but I like these beats a lot better than the stuff Jus usually rocks over and Jest definitely has a unique perspective and writing style.

Alaska, did I read somewhere he has another album dropping soon?

That joint has to be what, 7 pr 8 years old, I think. I definitely remember K-The-I??? playing that for me in '03/04... Shit is about 9/11. I think I have a rough on an old computer. Regardless, it is the jawn, and this album is PERFECT right now.

we had half an album done with jest but it was hyper dark and wasnt really reflecting where we wanted to go. he did do prison, he also did the piano remix of nothing really happens.
