Asher Roth - Pabst & Jazz

Post by GM Dizzy Skillespie »

Fuck Mindbender's thread.
New one.

http://asher-roth.heroku.com/

I can't believe I'm saying this, but this tape is fucking brutal.
Blended Babies and Chuck Inglish slay every beat.

and Asher is at his all-time best. hands down.
I'm fearful for his Def Jam record... will probably suck something serious, since it's the commercial appeal record.
but this is the amends record.

I don't care who daps this shit:

IT IS WACK AS FUCK.

Beat after wasted beat. The overnight notion that there is anything redeeming about Asher Roth is hysterical, menstrual faddism. You motherfuckers are only hype because of the cameos.

yeah, definite good looks for posting the DL, but as we're driving from parents house to parents house, my wife says, 'i really like the beats, but this rapper sounds really nerdy'.

whoever said 'waste of some good beats' hit the nail.

I was into the last mixtape that opened with Asher over the Madlib beat, so to hear that Chuck Inglish has a heavy hand in this is only good news to me. I have less of a problem with Asher than I do with his even nerdier boys that get put on at the worst times.

I'm sorry, but I really can't stand Asher Roth. I know how you look isn't really supposed to matter, but in his case, it does. He's a white collegeboy clown and the last time I checked, Hiphop does not come from white collegeboy clowns. If you can get past all of that (I can't), then he's a decent rapper with actual skills, but yeah, he's still Asher Roth aka a white collegeboy clown.

drizzle, the difference is, the Beastie Boys were actually COOL and they were also from Brooklyn so come on, son. haha HUGE difference when this Roth clown comes from white suburbia MORRISVILLE, PA from a decently well off family. You must LOVE his "I Love College" song, huh??? hahahaha C'mon!!

haha And what's the difference??? It's still one of the burroughs right there in NYC!!! It's not like they were from Upstate or some shit.

And are you really comparing Manhattan or any place in NYC to Morrisville, PA??? hahaha

I'm listening to this. It's alright. This guy literally sounds more like Eminem than Eminem does.

I wanted to believe for a moment that I lived in a world where someone who appreciated the realness of NORE hated Asher Roth.

I was wrong.
