Word. I sent him a bunch of beats a while back, he picked one..changed his mind then picked another and I'm kinda assuming it's been forgotten by now cause that was like over 6 months ago.
i think he definitely has a particular ear for beats and it has something to do with an overall game plan. It's hard to call really what he wants to fuck with.
But i think , when it's all said and done, whatever project he puts out with original beats, will be very well produced.

from his lyrics/songs you can tell he is influenced by jay-z, and i like to think that is part of the reason for his selectiveness and particular ear for beats

nope.... i think that too , mianly because , when he rap over el-p beats, beat is louder then his vocals.....

not to beat a dead horse but his biggest influences are 95-96 rappers, i'm not surprised one bit he sounds so comfortable over a more traditional/commercial beat
