I'll check it out when I get home. But really, there's no need to do songs with Phonte anymore.

Before I give this EP a shot, one question, is every song gonna be about his son or his wife or whatever?

or about his God?

Because I'm not in the mood to listen to this from him anymore.

Phonte can be dope. I think my problem is that I associate him with 9th Wonder's boring ass production. So him on an Ant beat should be tolerable.

Man, it warms my heart ( II ) that Gloss is Phonte's current biggest supporter. Ha ha... And I agree with everything he said.

Back to Bro Ali, I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought "Shine On" was a little weird. Dope as fuck, but weird. Who impersonates waiters to run game? LOL

shadows of the sun is his classic, great introduction to a great emcee

undisputed truth is his best, very high energy

us is great , story telling deluxe but falls a lil bit short compared to the rest

heres hoping the next album combines all these elements

Hey, you gotta get creative to get the bush when you're unusual looking, I would imagine. Nice beat, Ali sounds good on it.

You left out Champion which was my introduction to Ali.

I kinda slept on Shadows because it came out the same time of year as a bunch of "local" albums that I was really into. Camouflage, Escape From Monsta Island, Revolutionary v. 2, Vaudeville Villain, Bazooka Tooth, Dream Dentistry...and all this is the same year as Black Mamba Serums, Sin-A-Matic, King Gheedorah, Weatherproof, Politics Of The Business...2003 was a good one for underground rap in NY.

I knew it was an EP, I just didn't know what your criteria was. Carry on.

Nah, man....even with 9ths production (I know can be an acquired taste for many folks on here), Phonte's album is really dope.

Nobody. Which is what makes it so dope.

Go Ali. Been a fan for a minute.

100 % agree. This mixtape is a step in the right direction. It's good to hear ANT still at it on the two tracks on this.
