Preemo gave it to Heavy D a few months later, and it turned out pretty dope as a vocal track. ;)

I had no idea, I only really know Hev's singles. I know. I liked the Aretha track too, though. Great song.
Kool Keith: I wore a straw hat with a feather to the last Source Awards. When I got to Madison Square Garden everybody was looking at me. When I got back home I seen everybody and their mother in their video wearing a fuckinג€™ straw hat with a feather in it.

Tim Dog: ג€œWhat Kool Keith gonna wear? Iג€™m gonna do that shit in my video. Iג€™m gonna wear that shit really quick. Whatג€™s Tim Dog gonna wear?ג€

Yeah, that Heavy D is one of my favorite interlude turned to full song form ever. Another classic one for me was when Chill Will From The East Side sampled that heavy drum loop interlude from Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth's Act Like You Know and rhymed over it for the intro to his Masterpiece Pt. 5 mixtape, Harlem residents who were buying cassette mixtapes back in '92 probably can relate.

I just remembered The Beatnuts have a number of nice interlude tracks that speak to me, especially the one above and others on Stone Crazy. I was excited to finally hear them turn that one interlude off Street Level in to the remix of Hellraiser.

word.. I always wished this could have been somehow chopped to cut out the singing and then let the singing flush for the hook. I'm sure they wished there was an open part too but there isn't. But honestly, it's kind of perfect as an interlude.

Beatnuts were so fuckin ill with the sample flips. 00:42. Song is godawful besides the sample part, imo.

"So you wanna be a..." by Souls Of Mischief should have been a whole song and Extra Prolifics intro should have been a whole song too that beat was smooth as fuck. Also the beginning of Al Tariq's "Peace Akki" should have been a damn song.

That interlude on the chronic was always a sick beat and then canibus rapped over it n it was pretty ill. Wish jay z had rapped over million questions for longer but game took care of that.
1. Nas
2. Drake

Somebody posted the carnival by 'clef was a clasic album with a bunch of unnecessary skits...so I was inspired to buy the album and give it a listen.

I'm liking it...guantanamera was always my shit..I need one too. Gone til november is like a hustler's grieving mistress' mantra. The reggae songs work...not a front to back banger, but dope nonetheless. Some worthless interludes.but just skip em.

That intro on the Koolade beats Rocky Mixtape. Anybody checked that? Too bad nobody rapped on that!

I've always liked the beat on the beginning of Show & AG's "Medicine". Too bad it's just someone talking over it, AG should've killed it.

when you embed with youtube, under the code you'll see some checkboxes. Check the one that says "use old embed code".

not sure if this is classed as a skit or what but I really felt it needed some vocals over...

lol I tracked down that chrysalis album a while ago, purely on the basis of that beatnuts skit, and that 5 second section is the only good bit of the whole album.....
