Oddisee - People Hear What They See

Post by Hair of the Dog »

I realize there is a mellomusic thread, but this album will deserve a thread of its own. Set to release on June 5 via iTunes and June 12 everywhere else. This guy has been the definition of consistent recently so I can't really imagine this disappointing.

Tracklisting

1. Ready To Rock
2. Do It all
3. That Real
4. Let It Go
5. American Greed
6. The Need Superficial
7. Way In Way Out
8. Maybes
9. Another Grind
10. Set You Free
11. You Know Who You Are
12. Think Of Things

Also, before the album drops he is putting out a free ep called "Odd Renditions" on May 15. First release from that:

Album snippets sound really dope. This might make my top albums of the year judging from these alone. Track 11 was the only one I wasn't feelin.

Aside from a personal annoyance with the way he (and some people) pronounces certain words like errbody, this is pretty damn good IMO. This will be a on repeat for a while.

On some random shit, I ran into him at this spot I've been recording with my crew at yesterday. Dude is crazy humble about the album dropping. He made his mark with this one.

"People Listen With Their Ears" is a better way to say the tragic predicament he speaks about. But  to him for sticking to his guns

I have no idea what you're talking about, having never listened to oddisee, but don't you mean "people listen with their eyes"? the album isn't called people hear what they hear...
