album starts extremely strong and is pretty much all over the place after that. Pretty much what I expect from Nas nowadays. Its A Good Listen.

Divorce + daughter using twitter have given nas something to talk about again. But not just those few joints, on accident murderers he's saying something (last verse in particular). World's an addiction, back when, all over.

Yo philaflava nas shouted you out on locomotive did you catch that?
1. Nas
2. Drake

that's pretty much it fam.

Album is exactly what I want to hear from Nas in 2012. He's appeased all his fans and is a beast on the mic. What could we want from him? Guys damn near rapping better than everyone. He is held to such a high standard it's crazy at this point. If you think about it, he touched every style he has rocked throughout his career, and added the 2012 Nas to the mix. Not sure I understand what people want from him.. He's raw, nostalgic, honest, and contemporary. Everyone has different tastes so I don't expect everone to like everything, but this album is very good. Is it illmatic or a classic? Of course not. But the dude just released an ill album. Take it for what it it is and stop the fuckin hate already. Album is dope. Bottom line.

Haven't listened yet but I jus downloaded. For some reason in red next to the song titles it says "Explicit". All my shit is explicit, but these the only files that say it in red next to the title. Anyone know how I get that shit off?

Those are the Itunes encoded versions, I believe. It means you won't be able to burn them to CD as data files.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about this album, can we just agree the sequencing is horrendous?

LMAO at this being the best album by a 35 year old. I mean maybe you can come close to making that argument if you're talking a 35 year old rapper on a major... but this year alone:

Ka
El-P
Aesop Rock
Killer Mike

All made better albums, all over 35 years old. Even if you're not into Aesop or El, there's no denying R.A.P. Music or Grief Pedigree are better on multiple levels than this. The only real counter to this argument is some type of "broader cultural relevancy" argument.

The intro and the joint with Anthony Hamilton are eye rollingly atrocious.

This bar made me LOL, "I don't get the credit I deserve that's why I hate interviews". Dude's been living off extended credit for a decade plus.

Album is not terrible but, it's not great either. It's in that middle ground that Nas albums are so accustomed to. Being on a major label will do that to you though. Trying to make the fans & the suits happy simultaneously must be tough.

Only songs I don't care to hear again are Daughters, Bye Baby, World's An Addiction, Back When, Roses and Where's The Love. Think this might be his best album since Stillmatic.
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly

Having listened, I can tell the answer is no. Don't think that it would be giving Nas too much credit to think that he would borrow from Marvin's album concept, seeing as how he's in the same circumstance ... all the money he makes off this will be going toward the divorce settlement or covering moneys lost therin, no?

Well for balance, Future also made a better album. And Meek Mill made a mixtape that's better than this album - but they're not over 35.

I've been on this board and its precursor for over 10 years.

this might be the single worst opinion I've ever read.
